When all gathered, I would delete the path leading to it, raise the land around it, delete the path they were standing on(this was the hardest part) and finally raise the water from under them. The effect you get is actually quite interesting.
I've done that, not as therapeutic as picking them up individually...

Then, build a roller coaster that goes really high, drops down to ground level, interestingly in line with the path. The track ends. The roller coaster... Well, you get the picture. If not, there are YouTube videos.
Ah, ye ole roller coaster into the crowd of peeps trick. I usually just like to launch the coaster, going to have to try this one!

Another thing you can do is build a minimum height launch tower and set the launch speed to maximum. It's not as satisfying as launching roller coasters, but it is fun to see how high it goes.

There's also the one where you build a high walkway and get a few people on it before deleting it and watching them fall, but I don't think it kills them.

There is even a term for it: Peep bowling.

Have any of you made custom peeps? I made some peeps based on my brother's family, and one based on myself.

While fun, doing it with Zoo Tycoon is more satisfying.
Build a zoo full of unhappy and hungry big cats, let the people flood the pathways.. pause game and delete fence sections from each "enclosure".

Watch the panic!
They freak out and run around like maniacs. It's also highly stasifying when playing the Zoo Tycoon version of Jurassic Park called Dino Digs ;)

OK I see I am going to have to get new games, these sound much more satisfying after a bad day than blowing up crap in Civ.

The only online games I play are the ones on Braingle. But I wonder if anyone has built a roller coaster that ends with a SPLAT!

When I was in jr. high, we had this magazine by Scholastic, forget the exact title, but they had a different theme each month. One time it was like Zero Population Growth, and one of the stories was about a theme park of death. You took your chances riding the rides. The main character wanders the park, witnessing a body in a body bag being dragged by a park employee to a chute where it is prepared for burial; a woman follows it crying, asking the park employee to not take her husband away from her. Finally, the guy gets on a roller coaster, and it isn't until seconds before he meets his end that his luck has run out. Apparently not every ride is deadly, kind of like a lottery of death. That's what the last few posts reminded me of.

Rollercoaster and Zoo Tycoon aren't online games. They're old fashioned install em on your computer and play with a CD games.

I always found a good healthy dose of zombie killings to help control anger and frustration. An hour of beating zombies with a 2x4 in Dead Rising always makes me feel better about the world :D:

Zoo Tycoon is an older one but it's still a CD game, unless you torrent things..

If I can load it up on my Powerbook and play from the deck or hammock life is good indeed.

I see Amazon getting more of my $$$

If you're looking for first person shooters, a great place to go is onlive.com. They have some pretty awesome games of all sorts... A couple are good stress relief, others are just fun.

Best part is, using that service, I am able to play games that my computer can't handle. That is my favorite part.
