I'm sorry. I have a cross necklace that I wear as part of my faith and have had since I was in 8th grade. It was never visible in costume. This has nothing to do with Disney accepting or not accepting me, it had to do with the fact that it is not acceptible for me to wear any kind of religious symbols while on stage. I know that people will say it is different because it is not required by my religion, but neither is her hijab. She only recently started wearing it.
wow a cross necklace?
what did you do to the poor thing to make it so cross?

Darth, you gotta understand, shes messin with peoples Disney now. I'm pretty riled up about this myself, I'm not going to wish death on her, but as far as I'm concerned, if she doesnt like the way we do things here she can go home. I'm going to stop now before I get into a tirade over it.

I think I have a solution to the issue though, one where she can wear the headscarf and dress in traditional Morrocan clothing, while onstage, while working for Disney. They should transfer her to the Morrocan Pavilion at EPCOT.

That seems like a very good solution Steve.

I was wondering about that, are the women who work the various areas of the Moroccan pavilion allowed to wear a hijab on stage? That seems like it would be a good solution.

Exactly why I have quit pretty much all other Disney message boards...
And most recently I was poking around and saw that you are a member on some of the boards that I used to read...You were right to quit. There are many heartless people on those boards.

After reading articles prior, & one in the brkrm yesterday, now this O C Register, I swear Imane Boudlal was in one of my stores last Sat. or Sun. Know it wasn't Mon. I recognize the name because I had to ask for her I D as the transaction was well over $50.00. She purchased very nice men's clothes & I think a few children's items. We spoke a bit after I read her name. The last name was not typical thus stayed in my mind. Odd thing as I think of helping her...she was familiar with DL but she didn't use a Cast I D for discount nor was she wearing a headscarf. The pix in O C Register does look like the guest I had. Odd. Who knows?

Yes, I was proselytized to at work. I went to that person's manager, spoke to them and informed them of the situation and that the next time, I would get HR involved, which would not be pretty. It stopped quickly.
Maybe the stuff in your co-workers office isn't for OTHER people, but for themselves. My office is completely filled with Disney stuff. My co-workers refer to it as the Disney shrine. But since I don't deal with the public in my office, they let me decorate to my tastes. And they know that I've got toys in my office (loads of WDW Mr. Potato Heads and pieces) that I don't mind kids playing with. It makes me happy to be able to look up and see stuff from my favorite place around me. It makes me a better worker. Do I proselytize Disney? You bet. And if my co-workers get tired of it, they just  and walk away. I don't care.
