I went to the Bristol Farms in Long Beach before I went to have my hair done. A tour bus with Japanese guests got off the bus and walked into the store. They were taking pictures of the store and employees. They went food shopping and other items. It was a weird sight.
also when visiting Disneyland, the SG come up to the turkey cart and take pictures of the legs and walk away. I guess pictures last longer than the food items.

This reminds me of an anecdote I read in Reader's Digest long ago: This couple had a Japanese exchange student staying with them, and one day they were driving through the desert. The wife could hear the girl's camera clicking away almost constantly, and asked what she was taking pictures of. She replyed, "At home, everything so crowded. Here you have so much nothing." :D:

Reminds me of a song (sorta), "I've got plenty of nothing and nothing is plenty for me!"

No actual Mickey signatures exists so why would it matter where it came from. I know, I'm a wet blanket...but some things lend themselves to willful suspension of disbelief more than others.
All of the characters are given a specific autograph/signature. Everytime you see Mickey Mouse in every park he will sign the exact same way.
The only time it might vary is if he tries to sign the electronic signature pad at the grocery store.

That sounds better than actually eating one to me.

One of the most difficult things for friends of characters is to learn how to sign the name so it is consistent worldwide.

ditto! Some of the most fun I've had at Disney is just sitting at a bench in Adventureland with a Root Beer Float just talking with my family and watching the day :D
