...and today came the (form this time) rejection for the second novel- and it surprises me the agent (same one as first time) actually seems to have debated more about the first one. At least I know that there's just no way this agent will want to represent my work so won't query her with anything else in the future- I'm just not what they want.

I have to wonder if the happy ending in the novel worked against me...they seem to be after tragedies and teen vampire zombies and other stuff I don't write.

Back to the drawing board, or should I say slush pile. Ironic I was typing out notes for ideas I had all at once for the next novel when the email came in.

Maybe I should just blog for the rest of my life and have done with it LOL.

In other news I did write my first screenplay and finished it on time for Script Frenzy...not that it matters.

When Tennessee is under water and the Gulf is choking in crude this artistic angst stuff isn't important anyway. People in those places have real troubles (and the poor animals, don't get me started on the animals :( ).

just thought I'd give you guys the update. things have been crazy here and I haven't been feeling well, but I've been thinking of you all.

Instead of a happy ending keep this old saying in mind. One man's nightmare is another man's dream.

Hey guys, I finally updated the artwork...and there's a new one there I think some of you might like...

Wonders may never cease. This one actually came out something like I imagined it.

I have wanted to paint this for YEARS. Today was the day. Put on the iPod, cranked up the music, and just DID it. :D Unlike my other paintings I think this one actually looks like stuff! (March says all my paintings look like stuff but I don't see it. Well, not the 'stuff' they're supposed to look like LOL)

Bru, love We Go On and The Sheltering Forest! Do you ever sell any of your work or have it placed in galleries?

Thank you Dragonfox98! You are too kind.

I've never had my paintings on display publicly (and it's so kind of you to ask!) nor have I sold them- I gave two of the paintings (Lightly turns and Coming into Color) to my eye specialists (they thought it was pretty cool to have a painting by someone whom they helped get enough sight back to paint it! :) and The Sheltering Forest (one of my favorites along with Wishes and now We Go On) is actually in Australia now. It was given as a birthday gift to a dear friend- he's the one who took the picture of it framed.

When I went to ship it- I found out that it just made it under the size restrictions by less than half an inch! I was on pins and needles until it got there safely.

Far as selling them (first I never imagined anybody would want to pay for them!) with the Disney ones I know there would be copywrite issues and I wouldn't ever want to mess with my beloved Mouse! but I have allowed a few friends who particularly liked them to download the highest resolution scans and have them put on canvas :) I consider it an enormous honor. If people ask in advance, I usually don't have a problem with them doing it. I just like to know where they're going and to whom!

thank you again for your very kind words!

As far as I know about copyright law, I'm pretty sure you would be in the clear since at most they are derivative works of anything that does have copyright.

OOOOO Bru, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new Illuminations one. It's FANTASTIC. Any chance I could get the scan to make it a mate for the Wishes one. It could be a little fireworks grouping. :D: :D: :D:

And it's really such a great view. I'm usually on the World Showcase side and so focused on the globe in the middle that I miss the lights on all the countries. Thanks for sharing this.
