BELIEVE IT BRW!! We all like ya & were waiting for Ktulu's "Magical" updates. :) He was a great Towne (site) Crier & very into his role.

We honored you cuz you deserved our care & thought. I was at a VM practice & did see you. Not too difficult to pick out. ;) You & all VM were absolutely fantastic!! Shyness prevented me from saying "Hi" to you. You looked at me though, & I did get a few cell pics. Thanks for the memories. Club 33 cap on you is perfect & says it all.

Arggh! Can't believe you were there and we didn't meet! Glad you got to see/hear us in person, though. But yes, I'm hard to miss -- it's one of my rare gifts.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll post some links to other people's pics of the contest (and the show with the other championship choruses), and also get to work writing and posting my trip report and corresponding pictures. Unfortunately, it'll be after a doctor's visit. Either my asthma kicked in big time the day after the convention, or I have bronchitis again, and no doubt either or both were brought on by several days of almost nonstop exertion. I'll never doubt again when a big-name singer takes time off for "exhaustion." Okay, I will doubt, but there will be a little
less doubt! :)

I did. He was just tired out... Maybe some other trip you and your family take out here sans VM we can get together and you can see me in my 'native habitat'. Glad you had a good time, and are back home too.

To tide you until I get my pics and report loaded, here are the official Barbershop Harmony Society photographer's photos:
VM in the Chorus competition (starting with IMG 2124 and going through IMG 2252!)
VM in the Harmony Foundation Show (by ourselves, starting with IMG 4047 and going through IMG 4093!)
VM in the Harmony Foundation Show (finale with the Ambassadors of Harmony, Masters of Harmony, and three champion quartets, starting with IMG 4094 to the end)
You can also follow the links at the top of the page to other quartet and chorus pictures if you're interested.
Oh, and notice the change in my sig? We didn't win, so we don't sit out for three years like before. VM for the Gold in Philadelphia, July 2010!! :D: :p:

I see you singing your widdle heart out in the back row! On image 2130 in the first group of photos, it looks like y'all are really straining your vocal cords.

Were you trying to reach some high notes or somethin'?

2130 is actually early on in our ballad. No strain there -- just heartfelt longing for "Georgia," who is "On Our Mind"!

Don't know if this link will work, but my son has posted a video he took on the evening of the Fourth -- this is from the gathering of 30+ of my VM brothers singing at poolside at the Sheraton Park Anaheim. Call it the benefits of second place -- if we'd won the competition, we'd be back on stage at the Honda Center performing again! Instead, we got a nice, relaxing evening of music and cameraderie.

Most of this same group later moved over to the DL-side parking lot of the hotel to watch the fireworks and continue singing. I heard of LOT of humorous comments (none of them negative) from other hotel guests the next day!
