Did the SG leave a trail of sparks?

Had a SG ask me if the Monorail can take them to the airport universal and seaworld and when I said no they asked why not. These people amuse me so much :)

If you talk to any of the Mono Maint. guys that freq. the TTC.. they will tell you that it is all a load of crap... We could not stuff enough people in the front at any given time to make any of the crazy BS that we are told to happen. Point being.. I have seen 7 people step out of the front cab once... No issues what so ever.

Hey, never said that I believed it. Doesn't matter what I believe, only thing that matters is what I can make them believe. :D:

You could have said: "I could, but there's no rail there. Monorail = One Rail. It needs a rail." ;)

Witnessed a real special guest today.

When I first came in, I was working the monorail platform at the Poly. So this group comes out, and most of it goes to one of the gates to wait. I was talking to another guest, so when the SG I will assume was the father turned his back and seemed to be hiding doing something, I didn't walk over to see. Anyway, I hear this clicking sound and the first thing I think is that he is texting or something, so I didn't think much of it. After the monorail came and went it occurred to me that I had never heard a clicking sound like that coming from a cell phone in that pattern, but I did remember one thing that made that sound in that pattern. So I go over to where he was hiding and yep, sure enough, he was clipping his fingernails. And of course he didn't pick them up.

One thing we do quite often when working the Contemporary platform is get a pickup at the Contemporary, on an Express train. Because it's fairly frequent, they do it with you at least once in Platform training.

When my trainer and I got in, there were already seven people in the front cab. Yep, we made nine, going down the hill into Magic Kingdom.

onerailgirl wrote:actually i had a family of 3 in the front cab about a month ago two parents who were very overweight and their child who was on the way to being just like them. I left the ttc on resorts with the parents up front close to the windows and the kid trying to look over my shoulder when I left the front dragged...
Now you have my utter curiosity. I mean, after what I just said, how overweight were we talking about? You know how petite I am, and if I was one of NINE in the front cab with no problem...

YIKES!

With what I know of myself, and with people I've had in front cabs over the years, I am imagining that it would take a combined weight, everyone forward of Axle 1, being somewhere above 2,500. If you are who I think you are (or anyone in 'rails), there is no way you contributed enough to be a part of the problem... especially since your back is up against the firewall.

How much other stuff was this family carrying? I just can't fathom what you're saying with just three guests.

I'm gonna have to ask Fernando how much weight that would take.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

What about the "lever" effect? Depending where they are sitting, I'm not sure that if they (Heaven forbid)...bounced/jiggled, that the nose of the monorail might not just grind the rail. Go out in front of the axle far enough, 3 "petite" people could potentially overload the nose, and push it down.

Where exactly is the first axle? I'd assume it's well behind the "firewall", am I correct?
