Yep, I've had them get mad at me for not moving them up ahead of others already waiting. I almost think the front cab should be something that we don't allow people to ask... it's so much more special when you didn't know. I've had people come up and ask, when I have a family I've selected and they don't realize it. I've actually made it a priority to make a selection before someone can ask. It can be really funny when I don't tell them they're sitting up front, someone else asks, and I give that answer. I'm just waiting for it to get me in trouble because someone gets unjustifiably offended.

Glendalais, I can fully relate about the bad information. Last night, I had seven groups within an hour who were told at the Polynesian to come to TTC to catch a bus to -<NAME YOUR RESORT HERE>-. Never fun telling them they were told wrong. I finally found a way to make them feel like I was taking care of them (and I was...): They would ask, and I would say it wasn't here. When they said it was a Cast Member at the Poly who told them it was here, I would look at them for a moment with a stunned look, like they had just told me someone died. Then, with the same grave concern, I would say, "I am so sorry. They gave you completely wrong information..." and continue about how sorry I was. Then, they would usually tell me how it was not my fault. Truth is, I do feel bad when someone is given the wrong transportation info. As Cast Members, at one time it was our job to know the answer to ANY question a guest brings to us, and it had better be the right answer. It bugs the crap out of me when someone is told wrong info, especially in transportation because now not only are we causing inconvenience, but someone also took time that they could have spent not on transportation. I hate hate hate hate HATE when someone is given wrong transportation info... especially if someone in Transportation gives it to them. It's not even so insignificant as a pet peeve.

(Though, at this rate, it's only a matter of time that they do...:rolleyes :)

I have a SCMT related to this whole thing. I was walking with another CM when we ran into a guest wearing a birthday button at a Fastpass station. They were trying to figure out how to use their tickets -including their Free Birthday Ticket- to get Fastpasses.

We help them and engage in pleasant conversation (can I get my reward for initating guest contact and creating service solutions, please :p :) when the other CM mentions that they should go to City Hall to get their Birthday Fun Card. I quickly step in, point out that they already got free admission, and we go on our merry way.

I mention to the other CM that they only get EITHER the Free Admission OR the Alternative Gift. He says that he thought they got BOTH, and apparently that's what he, and quite a few other Attractions CMs had been telling guests for a while  . Sorta like magic, the next day, there's a note from Main Entrance/Guest Relations Management advising us of that fact.

Let me take this chance to unilaterally apologise to our Plaid- and Burger King-wearing collegues. It does sorta explain why we've been getting the evil eye from them recently :p: .
Hahaha, don't worry - we had plenty of plaids and MECMs doing the same thing. We set ourselves up for it in City Hall because they simply walk in and say "It's my BIRTHDAY!" and you don't know whether they got in free and they just want a button, or if they're coming in for the alternate offers. A couple of times I've tried to carefully ask which one they're there for, but it always backfires and I end up having to explain to the now-angry Guest why they don't qualify for the $70 fun card I just asked them if they wanted.

I didn't have any problem registering online. Although I went through the process early.

Perhaps too much site traffic causes problems?

No, it was some kid who did voice-acting in one of those really awful computer-animation-straight-to-dvd messes.

I would've asked him why he was proud of that ... (although, granted, if you look up my name on IMDB, the first result is a screenwriting credit for a sequel that actually DID have a theatrical release, but sucked anyways ... luckily, it's not me)

So, new SGT today...

Don't ask me to not write your name on YOUR birthday ticket so that you can GIVE IT to an "Orphan with Terminal Cancer". And why did this guy want to do it? Because "his wife told him to try" and do it. I just kinda looked at him and explained that if he transfered his ticket, it would be voided and then taken from him. And then I think he made some statement of how I wouldn't even do that for someone like that.

Im sorry, but the offer CLEARLY STATES "Free on Your Birthday!" and, yeah, your means you use the ticket.
