Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. But is it like Test Track, that it's slower than they advertise it?

You mean to tell me that the speed sign is pre-programmed and always reaches 65 at the same exact time, every time?!

It doesn't always reach 60mph, but that's the design spec. Oversized guests (of which I admit to being one) often cause it to run slower.

And.... it's still not the fastest.

Probably. It used to use a radar gun and give accurate readings. I guess that wasn't acceptable and they hard wired it.

That or it's finally started to work as designed... Naw!

But even 65mph isn't the fastest thing you can ride.

That's right, folks, the DCL buses that take guests between the resort and Port Canaveral travel the Beach Line Expressway at the posted speed of... 70mph!



Some DME drivers do that on the Greenway going to the airport, but that's officially 65mph territory.

The last I heard, the Beeline was a state road, thus not in WDW.

I haven't looked it up but I believe 2nd and 3rd place go to Rockin' Roller Coaster and Expedition Everest respectively. IIRC Rockin' launches at ~59 MPH and from talking with the cast there I understand Everest can reach 55 MPH or so on the big hill depending on conditions.
