After reviewing my monorail videos and doing some experimenting with the AI monorails in Trainz, for the holdpoints, we can only do the primaries and secondaries on exterior (where a train would hold to wait for a station to clear) and at the front of each station, which I know is not the way it is in WDW, but to get the most realistic experience with the Trainz defaults this is what I would do:

Beamtop Visual Signals:

For all the stations, Place a signal one full pylon length outside of each station, in the direction the train is heading. Additionally, place signals in the following places, in the direction of the trains:

Exterior:

8 pylon lengths before the Contemporary.
2 pylon lengths outside the Contemporary.
11 pylon lengths before the MK.
10 pylon lengths before the TTC.
20 pylon lengths before the TTC.

Resort:

11 pylon lengths before the POLY.
14 pylon lengths before the GF.
12 pylon lengths before the MK.
12 pylon lengths before the Contemporary.
15 pylon lengths before the TTC.

Epcot:
13 pylon lengths before EC station.
38 pylon lengths before EC station.
58 pylon lengths before EC station.
78 pylon lengths before EC station.
10 pylon lengths before TTC.
30 pylon lengths before TTC.
50 pylon lengths before TTC.
70 pylon lengths before TTC.

Epcot is going to be the least to scale as far as holdpoints go to accommodate for the AI trains.

Will post again with suggested locations for Speedboards! :D:

OK now for the speed zones, we will need to tweak things a bit since that again, the equipment in Trainz does not function like the equipment unique to the WDW monorails.

Speedboard Locations v1:

In addition to all the locations below, place a 15MPH Speedboard 3 full pylon lengths before each station (that a train stops at).

Exterior (From TTC):

Place a 40MPH Speedboard in the TTC.

Place a 30MPH Speedboard at the holdpoint before the Contemporary (8 pylons).

Place a 15MPH Speedboard 3 full pylon lengths before the Contemporary.

Place a 30MPH Speedboard at the holdpoind directly after the Contemporary (2 pylons out)

Place a 20MPH Speedboard 6 pylons before the MK holdpoint (total of 17 pylons before MK)

Place a 30MPH Speedboard in the MK.

Place a 25MPH Speedboard 3 pylons before the GF.

Place a 40MPH Speedboard in the GF.

Place a 30MPH Speedboard at the holdpoint before the POLY.

Place a 25MPH Speedboard 3 pylons before the POLY.

Place a 30MPH Speedboard in the POLY.

Resort (From TTC):

Place a 30MPH Speedboard in the TTC.

Place a 30MPH Speedboard in the POLY.

Place a 40MPH Speedboard at the holdpoint before the GF.

Place a 30MPH Speedboard in the GF.

Place a 25MPH Speedboard in the MK.

Place a 20MPH Speedboard 9 pylons before the Contemporary holdpoint (total of 21 pylons before Contemporary)

Place a 40MPH Speedboard in the Contemporary.

Epcot (From the TTC):

Place a 20MPH Speedboard in the TTC.

Place a 40MPH Speedboard 18 pylons after the TTC.

Place a 35MPH Speedboard just before bridge 1 (the section of track that goes over the main road)

Place a 30MPH SPeedboard 56 pylons before the Epcot Station.

Place a 20MPH Speedboard 37 pylons before the Epcot station.

Place a 30MPH Speedboard in the Epcot station.

Place a 35MPH Speedboard 22 pylons after the Epcot Station.

Place a 40MPH Speedboard 68 pylons after the Epcot Station.

Place a 30MPH Speedboard 34 pylons before the TTC.

This is awesome, Red. I know it'll never be 100% accurate, but I'd like it to be as close as I can make it (without completely ignoring my family, work, church, chorus, ...).

Just up it to 40. That's what the speed through there should be, IMO.

So for Epcot Wombat, just disregard the 1st 35, the second 35 make 40, then the last 40 disregard. That will make it 40 through there.

Or, I could do what I'm doing -- which is figure out how to make a 35 MPH speedboard! (Oh, the cleverness of me! :rolleyes :)

Now that would be awesome...

Only if I had the time to model the MAPO system...not even sure if it's possible to run something like that in the Trainz environment...I would also like to re-do the controls to the current sytle, but, then it will make things smaller on the screen, harder to see...I would like to make a functional door control as well, the spiels, etc. Maybe this summer if I have time...
