Streeter seems a bit..whats the word..."Worldly" for a pup!
But Scooter LOOKS like a Scooter! (the dog, not the toy!)

Whazzup! I bet your greyhounds are lazy and sweet and love to lie around the house... My in laws adopted a greyhound named Ma Barker. She's black and white, and had 2 litters of pups, but wasn't a champion, even though she raced and got up to 2nd place I think... Ma Barker loves lying around in the house especially in the living room, and if we say hello to her she barely raises her head and thumps her tail on the floor. If she's outside she runs to the back door and whines to come inside.

Yup - couch potatoes for sure, although they don't get to climb on the furniture. I have thick beds for them on the living room floor and they are delighted to spend most of their time there - taking naps, waking up and coming over for ear scritches, taking more naps. They are clean, quiet, mellow, well housebroken, very loving and affectionate. They are sensitive dogs and not ones you'd want to leave outside (thin hair coat and not much body fat). You can't roughouse too much with them like you could a Golden Retriever or similar breed) but they do love to run and play.
Shayla is a grinner - she bares her teeth in a doggie grin when she first greets you. It looks like a snarl and has worried a few visitors, which is probably good as it may discourage bandits and trespassers.

I didn't know that they were fragile, the grumpy pups are lab and aus. cattle dog mix, and love to play with toys, or DW and I throw the ball, and frizbee.
We crate trained them and just like yours, our guys seem to sleep as much as kitty does!

It's not so much that they are fragile, as they have sensitive personalities. They can race at full speed around a track chasing an artificial rabbit, but if you happen to accidentally step on their toe or something, they YIPE! like they've been beaten or seriously hurt.
I think some racing kennels do treat their dogs like commodities. My new dog is afraid of loud noises and is very wary if you have anything in your hand, like a rake or a stick. I think she expects to be hit or punished. She's also slightly afraid of her food dish. It's metal and if you bang it or make any noise with it, she shies away quickly. We are working on her self confidence issues and learning to trust humans and she's coming along nicely.

Jeez, they must have treated the poor guys terribly for them to react like that. DW and I watched the animal cops show on Animal Planet (?) and I am afarid I wouldn't be as nice as some of those Police are, the way the suspects mistreat the animals.
Dont even get me started on the football playing moron!!

Ma Barker stays outside a lot but she has a shawl on to keep her warm, and she stays by the sides of the house where the wind isn't blowing too much. She's house broken but if she doesn't make it outside in time, she'll mess up on the kitchen floor, but nowhere else thank goodness. Kitchen has a tile floor... I think she may have had experience with tile floors when she was a racer before she was rescued. She does yipe if someone steps on her too... and now sometimes she'll bark at something going by... Maybe she thinks someone will let her in to go rest on her bed in the living room, or one up in my mominlaw's room upstairs. She expects treats off and on when she comes in from outside, the silly dog.
