Vixen you got to get a bit wiser and more Board X wise in your thinking.
Give the kid red juice just as the boat is leaving. The kid is hyper so then they get to keep her all day long, lol.
On a serious note does she crash and burn after being hyper like that? I get so wired, drunk, bouncy, hyper, etc. then after a while comes headaches, cannot stay awake and total sound sleep. You need to identify what it is because sometimes food has food colouring.
However I know someone who cannot have caramel because she gets migraines. She is fine with sugar, canned milk, milk and other possible ingredients in caramel, go figure.
Security: We got a pervert in the bushes photographing the kids. :mine:

She just gets really weird and a bit unruly after having any red colored juice or "popskikkles" . She is ok with say, red fruit snacks, green juice, or purple popskikkles (which is her version of saying them btw :) ). I think it is the liquid stuff getting into her system faster. She has a doc appt this week so I am going to ask then. I will have to experiment a bit to see if she does wipe out after, never really noticed (bad mom) Tho I probably did and was just relieved that she was no longer climbing the walls. I am thankful that seems to be the only allergy she has. I would go nuts if she was allergic to everything my friend's boy is, you name it, he is allergic to it.mechurchlady wrote:Vixen you got to get a bit wiser and more Board X wise in your thinking.

Being liquid does make it go into her system faster. You can narrow it down by looking at the ingredients and seeing what is in common with popsicles and juice that other drinks do not have.
Over time it could get worse so it is best to know now. She could go to a party and at cake that had fruit juice added for flavouring for example.
Good luck and if you need help sleuthing let me know.

Thanks for the offer. Oh, I should clarify, when I say juice, I mean ANY red colored drink. Kool-aid, red soda(which in itself is a rarity around here), red fruit juice, etc. She is ok with things like strawberries and apples and tomatoes (which suddenly I can no longer eat
-my system thanks me for it later...LOL)
I never thot about it getting worse over time. Hmm..Dr. Anne is gonna have a lot of questions on Friday. I need to write them down.
BTW...I could have sworn the first word of you post was "BEER" and not "Being" I think it is time for me to go to bed now...lol Either that or I need a beer(and I dont even like beer)

Interesting article on food dyes and how people are fighting to end their use. Red 40 has been banned in the EEC in Europe.
I checked Kool-Aid and Popsicle. It has to be Red 40. This is used in grape, purple, and orange coloured foods. The sugar does not help with the hyperness. Probably the liquid popsicle and drink goes into the kid faster. With other food you may not notice until later or the symptoms are reduced.
I can go a whole day if I eat something bad with no problems but drink something and Boom it hits me hard. Testing is best because it is rare that people have just one allergy.
I found out that beside Lysol, dust and aerosols that I am sensitive to soy, eggs, dairy, wheat, and chocolate. At least I can have a bit of dairy or chocolate. I hear chocolate rice milk calling me, lol.
Good luck on the testing.

Re: Insert Catchy Title Here!
Churchy, I asked her doc if they can test for it. She said the best thing to do is what I have been doing ---avoid giving it to her when I can. I usually only avoid the liquid form and the doc said that is fine. She could prescirbe an anti-histimine(I think, drug names confuse me) but chances are she will grow out of it and the drug could cause more problems then it is worth. Thank you for your help in researching it.
