Gonna have to agree with TGSal on this one.TGSal wrote:*All of the gasps and "Ooohhh"s when the fireworks on the sides of Main Street fire off after "Is this haunted room actually stretching?"
Don't you think the gasps and "Ooohhs" are what the creators of the fireworks were HOPING they'd hear?
I totally understand. It is a legitimate question, but it gets old answering that same question again and again. I actually start to hope the next guest will ask me something different, lol.TGSal wrote:McGintoy - While I can relate to many of your peeves, I must play devil's advocate with some of them:That's really a very legitimate question. Even if they got a show schedule when they entered the Park, and even if they read it, there's no guarantee that (a) they remember all the times for all the events going on during the day or (b) they still have it in their possession.*Being asked what time the parade starts...over and over again.
Here, I'm talking about the ones who clearly think that the people are waiting in the middle of the street for the parade. They ask "What time is this parade?" I'm talking about the ones who honestly think there's a parade coming up Main Street.TGSal wrote:Maybe they're asking about the next parade? Maybe they don't realize that there's only one parade route?*Being asked what time the parade starts when it's 9:10 PM and guests are sitting in the middle of the street waiting for the fireworks to start. (How would that parade work? Would all the characters line up single-file and walk down the sidewalk?)
When you come in through the main entrance, you can see people also exiting the park. There is also a sign over the exit that reads "EXIT". It should be fairly obvious that this is the spot to exit the park. I don't think these guests are turned around or lost because they're almost at the exit by the time they reach me to ask me the question. Also, if they're not sure where they're going, that's what the map is for.TGSal wrote:Maybe they think the exit is in a different place than the entrance. Maybe they are turned around and aren't sure where the Main Entrance is any more.*Guests who ask where the park exit is. ("How did you get in here!?")
They don't ask if they can stay on for the entire trip, they ask if the train comes back to the station. Trains run on tracks, so common sense would tell you that the trains are running on a circuit. Therefore, they will eventually come back to the station. Also, the map clearly shows the train going in a circle around the park.TGSal wrote:How are they supposed to know if they'll be allowed to remain on for the entire trip or if they're going to be asked to exit at a different station? Many attractions have exits in places you can't see from the entrance - Star Tours and Pirates, for example.*Guests who ask if the train will return to the station at which they are asking the question. ("No, this is a one-way trip. You will never see this train again.")
True, but if you look on the map, you would have to cross through a forest, swim across a river, and possibly conquer the Temple of Doom to reach Adventureland from Town Square, lol.TGSal wrote:When looking at a map of the Park, it isn't always obvious how to get there from here. That's what CMs are for.*Guests who think Adventureland is somehow accessible from Town Square.
Yeah, this one really doesn't annoy me. It's a great effect. The thing that annoys me is that everyone in the walkways stops for a few seconds and traffic doesn't move, and sometimes it's hard to get them to start moving again.TGSal wrote:Don't you think the gasps and "Ooohhs" are what the creators of the fireworks were HOPING they'd hear?*All of the gasps and "Ooohhh"s when the fireworks on the sides of Main Street fire off after "Is this haunted room actually stretching?"
I'm calm. I'm just listing things that annoy me. I'm not always pissed off or some extremely unhappy person like you probably think I am from reading this, I just think some of these things are annoying when you hear them almost every day.Stduck wrote:I am gonna have to say... chill.
Haha, EXACTLY. Most guests don't read (that's the problem). And it's not our fault (yet we still have to deal with them). If guests would just read over the map and show times guide before they got going, we would have a lot fewer of these repetitive questions.Stduck wrote:Most guests don't read its not our fault.
Yes, but do you remember them, and what they did to make it worthwhile? ;)McGintoy wrote:Time to play Devil's Advocate to the Devil's Advocate, lol.
...but then there are those great guests who make it all worthwhile. What would we do without them? :D:
