I didn't say they could only break even. I said even at $50 admission they would make a LARGE profit. And I am a season pass holder for Six Flags. they are a nice park. They entertain people for a reasonable price.ktulu wrote:Okay, so let's say Disney cuts all prices so they break-even year to year. That means they have no extra capital to make improvements, or give raises, or build a new land, or park, or ride, or restaurant, or shop. The list goes on and on. You want to know what Disney would be without their huge profits? Go visit a Six Flags park.
No I am not a bottled water drinker. I mean I will drink it if were are out and I need to buy a bottle to have with me. but I do no snub my nose at tap water. In fact I prefer it over bottled water.ktulu wrote:Oh, just out of curiousity, do you drink bottled water?
just out of curiosity, what does that have to do with anything?
Goofyernmost wrote:Sorry, but these statements are so blatantly incorrect it makes me wonder if you have ever actually been to a Disney Park or if you are just sitting at a computer making this stuff up. I'm starting to suspect the latter!
Have you ever been out of your house? Try actually looking at the price on a vending machine before you just go sticking money into it. A machine with can sodas (if you can find one) is about $.50 - $.75.
I have seen people told several times they can not bring food into the parks.
YES our orange cheese/peanut butter crackers were taken and trashed. I really don't care if you believe it or not.
What more is there to the story? You want exact details? Ok. here ya go. We got to the park around opening. We stood in bag check line for about 4-5 mins. The security officer opened our bags and pulled the crackers out and handed them to an officer standing next to him (I am assuming a manager or trainee) who took them and walked toward the building. I asked the officer "Why did you take those?" He said "No outside food allowed in the parks" We got our bags. I griped to my party about it. we went into the parks and had our day. Anything else you want?
NemoRanger wrote:This is a JOKE! I have never seen a vending machine charge .50 to .75 for Coca Cola. Everywhere I go its 1.25 if not more.
I do not go to sam club or wal mart they are evil empire.
$1.25 are for BOTTLED sodas. I have specifically said CAN sodas because that is what they were selling at the circus and that is what I was comparing prices to.
I also did NOT say vending machines at a theme park.DonutGoddess wrote:I can get a soda out of one of the Employee only soda machines at work for $.50, but it ain't no theme park :P
Now since it is apparent that none of you are reading what I am posting (as evident from all the above replies) then it is pointless for me to continue any more.
