Stupid Guest Tricks

Yeah ... its the little kids at pooh who grin from ear to ear when they get off the ride. Then the momment is ruined when I ask them not to close the door and mom or dad yell at them for it.

the otherday after making a big deal about a little girl's birthday while making sure to pay attention to her sister the mom sent the girls off to dad and ended by saying "thank you for making my little girls feel so special."

not really a kid making the day for me, but it was so heartfelt that it made up for everything else in the day.

About taking out Fastpass at Mansion Holiday....

True, our standby line at mansion would be a lot faster but then we would get about a quarter million guest asking where or why we took out fastpass and then its off to city hall! Its come to a point where Fastpass is only here because our guest demand it not because they need it.

As far as stupid questions being asked i have a few...

At Mansion
Guest: What time do we return for fastpass?
what time does it say on your ticket?
Guest: You mean we have to wait till that time?
.......... :!:

Standing in front of the Rivers of America....
Guest: Exscuse me sir.. but i have a question
Sure whats your question
Guest: Well.... is the water here real? (pointing to the river
I just walked away

At Mansion Load 1
Guest: Can we wait for the front row
Sure wait to the side here and tell me when it arrives!

At Splash MT dispatch
Guest: Excuse me, can you hold my backpack?
No sorry you have to take it with you.
Guest: Well, what do i do when we go through the loops

Ok I was standing at end of line at the Mansion last night (I am like permanatly at end of line for the holiday season so if you would like to find me go there) 3 people came up and asked me "Do you work here?"

I was thinking WTF?! Ok I have a bat hat on my head, I'm dressed from head to toe in hunter green (actaully I'd say viridian green with a touch of cad red medium to nuetralize the blue in viridian but I degress). I have been spieling "This is the regular stand-by line for the Haunted Mansion!" And I have a name tag. No I don't work here I'm an obsessed freak who bought the costume and name tag on e-bay.

Last summer I walked out on stage and a little kid was asking every CM that walked by and asked if their nametag name was their name. So he asked me if my name was Brian (which it is), and I answered him, "no, it's Joseph" and walked away.

I used to always answer that question with "no, actually my name is a series of clicks, beeps, and whistles that the English alphabet can't spell out, but Brian was the closest approximation."

My personal favorite was when a guest walked up to me and said, "excuse me, Brian, do you work here?"

no, then walk away

Ugh I hate that. I'm usually out on Big Thunder Trail taking pictures and people will be like "Excuse me, do you work here?".

No ma'am. It's my vice to dress up like a cowboy in a pink shirt and take pictures of random strangers.

That happens sometimes, and I go, "No, my name is Dave. I borrowed someone else's name tag" ;)

Not to defend truly stupid questions, but that one may be excusable. There's enough CM chatter online about losing nametags and having to wear someone else's, that the guest might just be trying to make sure he calls you by the right name.

On the other hand, if the guest really is such a Disney freak to know that and care, he probably deserves to be messed with!
