Re: Ghosts
OPS & sorry BirdMom. Didn't mean to cross your post nor step on your toes. When D L was being constructed there were no grave site monitors nor laws as there are today. Dominguez would not have been removed to old Pioneer Cemetery in Anaheim because those grounds weren't consecrated until abt 15 yrs. ago. I do believe the Dominguez family would have had the grave moved by Disney, perhaps to the old Yorba Cemetery in Yorba Linda. Growing up in O C & going to Santa Ana schools provided me with history trivia. Could be all wrong though!! The Opel Kissinger Room @ Anaheim Public Library should have this data. Would be an interesting study. Maybe if I ever get a day off I'll go research. FYI, Mission San Juan owns no cemeteries. They were taken over by the O C Dioceses yrs. ago. Economic reasons, so it was stated. NOT :(

I need to do some research as well. I've called the Ardioceses in L.A. and they referred me to both the Mission and St. Boniface (? - is that the one next to St. Catherine's Military Academy) for their help with geneology...Main Streeter wrote: Maybe if I ever get a day off I'll go research. Having said that, there is still the burial ground directly inside the Mission Walls. I've spent a few afternoons there.

Re: Ghosts
This came from page one of this thread. I quote:BirdMom wrote:WTF???!!! Where did that one come from? We used to make a lot of jokes about the rumors that Walt was cryogenically frozen ("yeah, that slab of ice over in the Tomorrowland meat locker") but there are no graves on the property. Ashes have been improperly disposed of by sneaky guests but no graves.
"the grave yard at auto is at one of the dip points for the old people maker/rocket rods track, and it's entirely fenced off and so over gron that the track is covered. It's where the man who used to own the proerty is burried, kinda sad, he died, and disney moved in, and moved his house, from where autopia is to where circle D is, and is now "gaurded" by the pluto unit kennels."

Re: Ghosts
Well this one happened last sunday night at jungle and had a lot of us freaked out.
I was at unload and I happened to see this guy coming toward us from the backstage storage area and he looked like a guest. Jeans, tshirt etc. He did have a lanyard but it looked like the little castle one that alot of the guests have. It just looked at little strange. I lost sight of him as a boat came and I had to unload it. Then I went and looked and the door at the aladin's oasis was ajar and it hadn't been. So we got some of the other cms who were on task to go and investigate since we couldn't leave unload.
Once I got bumped off the dock I went back to check cause I was wondering what was taking so long. I went back there and found everyone standing around looking freaked out. They had looked for the guy and hadn't found him. But they knocked on the handicap restroom that is right there cause it was locked and heared a womans voice say hold on I'll be just a minute. SO they waited by the door and finally found a custodial cast member who got the door open and there was no one inside.
The custodial cm said oh, yeah the bathroom is haunted. The door locks and unlocks itself randomly like that but no one will be inside. Needless to say we were all creeped out for the rest of the night.

Re: Ghosts
LiveWire, Custodial isn't kidding! The restroom you speak of is haunted, eerie, scary, very strange, or whatever you want to label it. Human voices have been heard there often when we knew no one was in the bathroom. I did Custodial over in the area for a few yrs. Freaked everytime I was alone in the area or in this restroom. Finally told management I felt unsafe & they never returned me to this restroom. Have no idea what's over there nor why there are negative energies near the restroom & I don't ever care to find out!! Geez, gives me the chills just thinking abt working the area. Had forgotten all abt this chilling spot until your post. Simply creepy!LiveWire wrote:Well this one happened last sunday night at jungle and had a lot of us freaked out.

Re: Ghosts
Wed., while doing my 3rd costume change for the day @ Main Issue, one of the long time Costuming CMs looked @ my costume & said without hesitation; "You do know Christmas in NOS is the most huanted area in the park don't you?" Wanted to ask her more but had to get dressed & she was walking. I'll ask her abt the above when I see her. Anyone @ D L know what she refers to? & no, she was not kidding me!!

Re: Ghosts
maybe it's because it's down the "street" from the "medium" across from the train station. the westside seems to have much more activity than the east.

Re: Ghosts
You may be right GMC. Never thought abt the "medium." Certainly more souls & haunts on the west side. Have 4 days in TLT - Star Trader - geez, hope I'm not asked to go up to that stock roomGMC wrote:maybe it's because it's down the "street" from the "medium" across from the train station. the westside seems to have much more activity than the east.

Re: Ghosts
supposedly he's burried in the middle of the autopia track, well a fenced of section aka the graveyard, it's also where the people mover/ rocket rods track dips low enough for people to climb onto it. i've heard of giant branches actually reaching for people after they've felt the urge to go check that area at the end of the night, though it is not a required part of the checklist.

Re: Ghosts
Why do I always find stuff like this at night... oh well... I heard something about a boy who was riding haunted mansion and when passing madame leota he reached over to take something off her table and fell... dunno if it's true or not... also I wonder if the guy who died on Thunder mountain is around there.
