Stupid Guest Tricks

I work for a wholesale club and people are always leaving their nasty napkins, snot rags, sample cups, and the occasional dirty diaper around. Sometimes we get to play "What's that smell?" when someone throws a package of meat behind something and we find it days later.


I have a SG story from our last trip. We're sitting in the small dining area for Kringla eating and a family comes in with a little boy in a stroller. The mother decided she needs to change his extremely poopy diaper right there in the dining area. I am sure there is a restroom close by that would have been a lot more appropriate and sanitary but there she was in the dining area cleaning him up. Thanks. Just what I needed with my pastry.

Ya know, I did a week at Disney with an infant and I managed to not change his diaper anywhere but in restrooms and in our resort room. Shocking, I know. And, will wonders never cease, I also managed to put every single one of those diapers into the proper trash bin. Amazing! Honestly, how hard is it, really, to change your baby in a bathroom and throw their nasty diaper away?!

There are just no words for that level of filth and disrespect. People amaze me.

Just recently, I saw a man change his baby right next to a dining table and put the dirty diaper on the table. However, karma was on my side that day as the man had put out the diaper so quickly that it bounced off the edge of the table and landed poop first on a pink bag underneath which I presume belongs to his wife. I'm sure she'll be REALLY happy to see her bag stained with baby's output.

I know that topic drift is considered a high art form in these parts, and far be it from me to be a critic of said art. However, I think there is another thread around for dealing with things that cannot now be unseen. If I might suggest that the tales of wayward diaper disposal be placed there, and we save this thread for humorous conversations overheard? Just a thought.

Probably not.

Any CM's ever see a guest carry food into the restroom ready for consumption? I'm just wondering if they are willing to change a diaper on the table they are going to eat at, they are probably willing to take a meal in the crapper.

Back when I was working fast food there was an employee that took sandwiches into the bathroom everyday...he was doing it so he didn't have to pay for them, but he was eating in there...

He was ultimately fired for that and other things.

Actually, I can understand a bit of the reasoning behind this:

The idea is that, if they just left the tray unattended on a table, someone might come along and take their food or, to a lesser extent, an employee might clear the table not realizing they weren't done with their meal.

While I wouldn't eat a meal in the restroom, I do think that taking wrapped food and lidded drinks into a restroom isn't quite as bad as changing a diaper on a table were folks are going to eat.

SG: Search for the coldest Dr. Pepper.

SG: Where are the Dr. Pepper bottles?

CM: Disneyland only sells coke products.

SG: I saw someone purchase a bottle of Dr. Pepper and I want one.

CM: Sorry, if you saw some one with a Dr. Pepper, that guest obviously snuck it into the park and was thirsty. :mad:

Hey!!!! I didn't sneak it into the park - it was in my insulated cooler which was checked by security!!!

Actually, I do bring a Dr. Pepper with me in the mornings when we enter a park (I need my morning caffine, damn it). I have actually been approached and asked (quite excitedly) "Where'd you get that?!?!". Umm....my fridge at the resort via Wal-Mart is always my response. Then they're disappointed. I feel so bad!

I also usually have an extra in the backpack cooler should I need it for later in the day, but when I'm in WDW, I drink water for the most part (which cannot be said the other 357 days of the year).

While at EPCOT I over heard two guests talking near the Port of Entry. Both appeared to be around 16
Guest One: Where is the Harry Potter ride?
Guest two: I dunno. Wait I think its over there (pointing her finger towards the Germany Pavilion)

To top it off the were both looking at a Park map....

At the water parks there is no regular bag check. However, the Greeters will check coolers (or anything that looks like one) for alcoholic beverage or glass containers.

Sometimes I will see people with Pepsi (or other non-Coke) soft drinks, and I will tell them something to the effect of "You have a problem, we are only supposed to allow Coca Cola products into the Park" and see their reaction. I always tell them I will make an exception.
