You're lunching in Los Gatos and Stanford. :D:

I do miss The City and the Bay Area. There is no such thing as Dim Sum out here. No Peet's coffee. No Boudin sourdough. Yes, I seem to be food-oriented. :D:

I used to live right downtown on Bridgeway in Sausalito. I'd get up in the morning, open my front door, and sit on the front stoop with my coffee, watching the fishing boats being harassed by seagulls and seals. It was awesome. What wasn't so awesome was the drive to my office in Palo Alto - the first Ex-Mr. Siren worked in the city, so I'd drop him off, then continue south to my office. It took roughly 90 minutes (on a good day) one way.

A now-defunct casino game company called Silicon Gaming. They hired a lot of us regular game industry types to develop games for the Odyssey, a next-gen slot machine:

The company was owned by Steve Wynn's nephew...when we started running out of money, we thought for sure Steve would swoop in and bail us out. Not so much - they eventually were acquired and the Odyssey was no more. The picture there shows one of the last games I worked on while at the company.
