Re: IndyandMarion Will Not Be On Stage
Good luck, Indy, I'm pulling for you. And I agree, it was unprofessional of Sea World not to contact you when they said they were going to. My mom has been unemployed since October 2009 and she has the same problem: she'll go for interviews, they'll tell her they're interested and then.....nothing. Not an email, not a call, not even a return call to her when she takes initiative. It's very disconcerting to say the least.
Your pictures are wonderful and I have fingers crossed for you!

Re: IndyandMarion Will Not Be On Stage
Few updates:
1) Check the flickr. I've updated a few photos (flickr.com/indyandmarion)
2) It's not often one can come back from the dead.
3) We won the case, sorta. I finally got fed up with Disney and their childish behavior about my situation. They're wrong and they know it. I don't have time to deal with this anymore since I've started with Kodak/KSC. So. When the Union president contacted me about the "next step" in the appeal case, I said "OK, look. I don't have time to keep fighting this. I'm making them this deal. We'll drop the case, and they remove the trespassing warrant"
Two days later, I get a call from him saying he is faxing me some paperwork. They accepted the deal. I got the letter (With my name spelt correctly in the "send to this address" then with it wrong in the "Mr *insert last name*) on the 18th saying the case had been dropped and my warrant removed.
You had better believe I flew out there, into the dark cloudy and raining night (Perfect for a return that was thought to never be possible) with the better half and bolted to EPCOT Center. Where I enjoyed my old "usual" dish of teriyaki chicken in Japan, and an Oktoberfest from Germany. I unfortunately (for them) ran into a few people who are, I'm sure, still pissed and shocked that I was allowed back. And had a, I'm sorry, phenomenal god damn time for the first time back in six months with my g/f and another great friend of mine. My exile is over.
IndyandMarion is back at Disney World, this time, he's a mole in the stupid guest community.

Thank you. Photo career actually. If I'm asked what I do, I say I'm a Kodak photographer (And this is really a professional one, not that crap Disney Photopass team kind) who is stationed at Kennedy Space Center.delsdad wrote:Fantastic news! It's a lot of fun. Seriously, much more fun than working at Disney. It's tiring, it's a pain in my shoulders (Literally) but it's fuuuuun. (Course about 1 out of every 30 families think the photo is for security reasons, but it's not)

Re: IndyandMarion Will Not Be On Stage
Im not exactly sure where else they are. I know they sent part of the team to Miami and Tampa for bowl games this year. There's a few studios here in Orlando (I assume) that are Kodak (basing off job opportunities I've seen online).delsdad wrote:Does Kodak have photographers at other locations as well ? As for Disney, I think they're still using the equipment (cameras, printing programs, ect), but the photography team might actually be part of entertainment now. I'm not sure how Disney is working it. My supervisor is the one who created Photopass and the "Magical shot" (In Disney's case, Simba, Tinker Bell).

I'm glad to hear they dropped the warrant. And congrats on the photography job!

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

Have you had any Kodak Moments? :D:IndyandMarion wrote:I say I'm a Kodak photographer...

Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

Re: IndyandMarion Will Not Be On Stage
Congrats! I'm glad to hear it.
Photopass is now a part of Entertainment. I'm not sure why though I bet it has to do with money (Entertainment now has a source of revenue of their own). I believe that only really affects management as not much as changed for the photographers. I'm not sure where they purchased the cameras from but they are Nikons and were all replaced around 8 months or so ago. The photo printers are all Kodak and I wouldn't be surprised if the software is too. Pretty sure they use the same printers that we use in Merch for ride photos, which is all Kodak equipment.IndyandMarion wrote:As for Disney, I think they're still using the equipment (cameras, printing programs, ect), but the photography team might actually be part of entertainment now. Awesome news, Indy. It still stinks what they did to you, but I'm happy you have a job you like, that you can enjoy WDW again, and that you can tick off some of your enemies by doing so! :D:
