Don't be fooled by appearances. In Hawaii, some of the most powerful people look like bums and stuntmen.

I've seen that show......BRWombat wrote:Bait cars. There's a whole TV show based on them now.
I've also seen a few cars inexplicably left open at the San Diego Zoo and Disneyland....makes me wonder if they were set up for a sting! ;)

Those cars would be great in my complex. A few stupid neighbors would be in for their final 3rd strike against them. Take that back, one of our neighbors in is jail for grand theft. He and his buddies broke into 3 cars in our parking garage a few years back. His finger prints were all over the windows and stearing wheels. He was arrested and then evicted out of the complex because he and his wife could not pay their morgage to the local bank. He is out now and he still looks like he can pull his crap again. If we cad a few of these cars, he and his friends would be history.

At the Sweetwater Brewery here in Atlanta, they allow folks to come in and "help" for the day - stuff like toting cases around, loading the truck, waxing bottle tops (for their Christmas beers) and what you get paid is a case of the beer of your choice and all you can drink that day. Pretty sweet deal.hobie16 wrote:Eliminate the problem entirely and drink it all at the bottling plant.

How many restroom breaks do you get during the day? ;)GaTechGal wrote:At the Sweetwater Brewery here in Atlanta, they allow folks to come in and "help" for the day - stuff like toting cases around, loading the truck, waxing bottle tops (for their Christmas beers) and what you get paid is a case of the beer of your choice and all you can drink that day. I know Dallas PD uses them. How do I know? They put up big warning signs: "Bait cars in use in this area" with a description of what bait cars are.DisneyMom wrote:I've seen that show......

Seriously? We have to warn potential criminals that they might get caught?

Kinda like the sign on the back window of our house. "Forget 911,I dial .357". :twisted:BRWombat wrote:I know Dallas PD uses them. How do I know? They put up big warning signs: "Bait cars in use in this area" with a description of what bait cars are.
Seriously? We have to warn potential criminals that they might get caught?Of course, I realized that they could cut down on car theft just by putting up a few of these signs, even without the bait cars!
