I'm pretty sure that in that last line Mr. Rogers is using profanity."It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor, would you be mine? Could you be mine? It's a neighborly day in a beauty wood, a neighborly day for a beauty, would you be mine? Could you be mine?
I have always wanted to have a neighbor just like you. I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you,
So let's make the most of this beautiful day! Since we're together, we might as well say, Would you be mine? Could you be mine? Won't you be my neighbor?"
...56 translations later we get:
"A good friend, one day, right? How? The tree is beautiful, the environment and human eyes, is a happy day for me?
I always thought it was my friend. I've always lived.
ดังนั้นถ้าคุณมีวันที่ดี! For example, if you do it? How? Who is my neighbor?""

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Let's give Mr. Rogers a spin:

The result is just as unintelligible as the original text. I guess it did us a favor by putting a "he said" in front of it, lol.Original text:
"Riki Tiki Tembo No Sa Rembo Chari Bari Ruchi Pip Peri Pembo."
...56 translations later we get:
"He said dijitengbo katorinavain shalibali kufabaruku."
Oh this is a good one...

RIP Bud Hurlbut.
You will be missed.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Take a look at how this one comes out:
And all this time I thought Star Tours was based on Star Wars."Space, The final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: To explore strange new worlds; To seek out new life and new civilizations; To boldly go where no man has gone before!"
...40 translations later we get:
"Space Deadline. Star Tours. New world, new culture and a new life, encouraging him to five years!"

And Paul Linnman, the Oregon news reporter who covered (not physically) the Exploding Whale in 1970,"Mamma, don't whoop little Buford
Mamma, don't beat on his head
Mamma, don't whoop little Buford
I think you should shoot him instead."
...56 translations later we get:
"Bouffard Bouffard mother to her grave and cried. But I think it should be."
You can view the news story here. Paul Linnnman is a fascinating person and a good guy. How many news reporters will I say that about? There are actually several in Oregon, including reporters for NBC."The blast blasted blubber beyond all believalbe bounds."
...56 translations later we get:
"Belyevalbe Explosion to destroy them."
And since we're on the subject of things being blown up, we might as well get a quote from Mythbusters. Someone want to do that?
"I do all my own stunts"
...56 translations later we get:
"I appreciate your enthusiasm."
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
Re: Worst game of Telephone evar.
Going with the Mythbusters theme:
"I reject your reality and substitute my own."
becomes
"I admit, sounds, and tell the truth."

becomes
"I admit, sounds, and tell the truth."

And now a few from Princess Bride, since that movie seems to get a lot of attention on SGT. The first quote doesn't even need the original:
:D: And these:...56 translations later we get:
"Hello, my inigomontoia: "You killed my father." Be prepared for death."
You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia" - but only slightly less well-known is this: "Never go against a Sicilian when death is on the line"! "
...56 translations later we get:
"Dumb! The most popular of the war in Asia - - This is a classic mistake, but I could be a problem, or is in the city on the map, "said the man," you know."
"Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something. "
...56 translations later we get:
"Welcome to life issues. It is also called selling."
Whoo-hoo-hoo, look who knows so much. It just so happens that your friend here is only MOSTLY dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. "
...56 translations later we get:
"Oh, the United Nations life and death for my friends seem dull. In other countries, death and Dying."
