I started to go ahead when another guest started yelling at me that I was cutting in front of her party that was standing around watching the debate. I decided it was not worth the hassle and waited for the debate to end and let her and her party get their FP's checked and get in line. She continued to grumble about my "rude" behavior while in the line. My spouse finally said, "If you're so dumb that you're going to stand there and watch the debate, people are going to get in line ahead of you!" She shut up at that point.
Were we being rude? What should have we done?
Thank you!
Hahaha!LOVE your Spouse standing up for you like that :D:
maybe the SGs thought it was some sort of pre-show

For my ride (Buzz) there is no height requirement but it's 7yrs to ride alone or they must have someone who's 16 yrs or older/ or 54 inches...it's the Supervised Child rule...

Chaka, since this is your first area that you posted, and since neither Wombat nor I have done it yet for you, here is your very own smiley that you can point others to and show that you are loved. I mean, if you need that sort of thing. Just understand that SGT is no love fest, but... yeah. I lost my train of thought. Hey, here's a train!
:sgthello:
And that goes for anyone else* who has not ever been properly welcomed to the board before as well. Like Wombat. Or ktulu. Or CujoSR. I never saw them get a proper welcome. And everyone else.
As far as your question, you got it answered, but I thought I would chime in and agree that you did nothing wrong, and it sounds like your husband knows how to man up... an oft-lost art in today's society. To that person in front of you, I would be asking, "Which is more important? Watching this family not get in because their child is too short, or getting into line?" You are not in line in my opinion until you are within the confines of some sort of queue marking**.
*anyone else who does not exhibit troll-like qualities, unless they're in the physical sense.
**Exception: When the line is so long that it extends beyond what we have queues to handle.

I just saw somewhere official that for a child age 7 or under to ride an attraction they must be accompanied by a person at least 14 years old. Older than Age 7 may ride unaccompanied

Thank you for the warm welcome and the Monorail!!! I do so treasure my Monorail license and so does my son!!! The monorail is one of my favorite things about WDW.
I am so excited because I am exactly 4 weeks from coming to visit you again!!! My only hope is that I don't encounter any SG's, but I realize that is quite unlikely to happen. :D:
Can't wait to see you all soon and I wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and days free of Stupid Guests!!!
And yes, I am a kid trapped in the body of a 42 year old mom........LOL

Yes, I can verify the Supervised Children Policy: the child must be 7 years of age to ride alone or if they are under 7, with a rider at least 14 years or older.

Just in case you'd like to calibrate "too fast", top speed on Space Mountain MK is 28mph.
Can anyone guess the speed of the fastest ride at WDW?

65 miles per hour, at Test Track.
And as a point of comparison, coaster-wise, Space Mountain in California hits a maximum speed of 32 MPH.
