I remember reading stories of individuals denied entry to DL because of their hair styles and the way they were dressed.
Back in the 70's my nephew was denied entry into Disneyland because his hair was dyed two colors. In the 80's he started his own punk-rock band, the Vandals. Now he has a membership to Club 33 and goes anytime he wants with his two-tone hair and gets treated like royalty. Funny how times change.

I looked them up, I think I figured out which one is your nephew ;)
Sounds like they've been very successful....and they even wrote a song about Pirates at Disneyland! :D:

You are right! A Pirate's Life! Joe is my sister's son, and he has always loved Disneyland.

He's being inducted into the Los Alamitos High Hall of Fame Wednesday night. He also has a radio show on Indie 103.1 from 6-10 am.

Today I was people watching in the park. I saw this guy with short aqua blue hair. When I was in high school I had a purple streak in my hair.

For clothing, the guests did have clothes on.

What is bad is when they SG are on their cell phones yapping away and not paying attention to what they are doing. I think there should be some sort of law for those who are clueless and wonder in front of moving food beveerage carts. Those poor cast members. I feel so sorry for them. :(

Captain C wrote:I understand they actually wear rather formal clothes in Japan when going to Tokyo Disneyland. So much in fact that when bringing Splash Mountain there, they had to seriously tone down the splash impact XD
And that's actually one reason they developed WDW's Splash Mountain with side-by-side seating, rather than the in-line bench seating of Disneyland's original logs. WDW's were a test before bringing Splash to Japan, as they wanted women in dresses and kimonos to be able to ride it comfortably.

They don't get wet at the other Splash Mountain locations? I don't mind getting splashed, but if you are at the front of the log, be prepared for approx 6 inches of water to cover your shoes
Even So, not as bad as being at the front of the Jurassic Park ride at Universal Studios Hollywood....TOTALLY DRENCHED! :drown :
(yeah, I didn't think I needed the plastic poncho.....)

Wow, pretty kewl!

I *loved* the Vandals when I was younger (sad to say, I've lost touch with their newer stuff).

Pirate's Life, WannaBe Manor, Urban Struggle, Pat Brown...ah, great stuff, good times!

Tell Joe a fan says hi!

This pic was posted on another site in a trip report. I can't believe that this lady wasn't stopped and told to put some clothes on.

Look closely, it's a tank top that she rolled up and tucked under.. That's probably how she got in without a problem..
