That way when somebody gets a little to "close" to a character, starts screaming that it is time for the character to head in or whatever they do, they can quickly call for assistance and Security can come running.

My brother told me a story how one time this guy started cussing him up one side and down the other because his character had to go in. My brother had a Nextel that day and he called for Security who kicked the guy out. The Nextel has also helped defuse situations without him even using it. Just pulling it out and threatening to use it gets a lot of people to calm down.

I plan to sometime soon start going around and meeting characters and getting my picture taken with them and their autographs. It'll be fun. I might be a grown man and all but I love the characters. Don't worry, I'm not a creepy man who will start stalking a princess (Daisy Duck on the other hand... Just kidding! It'll mostly be the ones in locations with Photopass CMs there too. I'd rather add all the character shots to my growing collection of photos than dig up my camera. I plan on buying the CD one day, after I've gotten a whole heck of a lot of shots.

Oh, yeah, if anybody knows who was Chip's friend in front of the train station (I believe it was Chip and not Dale, but anyway) Wednesday afternoon tell him thanks. I was the tall guy with glasses who persuaded the Photopass CM out there to take our picture. Chip was funny that day and annoying his attendant by wandering off and going under the rope set up to funnel P&P Party guests to the right side of the station and doing a few other things.

The Photopass CM expressed a little hesitantation as she wasn't taking pictures of characters just then but IMO if you're right near a character then you take pictures of that character if a guest asks you to, especially if you're not busy.
Remember there is time limit to get that CD before it goes away. I cannot remember, is it 3 months or 60 days or 30 days? Crap, I shopuld know that, since I just kept getting notices that mine was about to be deleted, nothing I wanted to buy on the most recent disk. But I will deginitely use my photopass for WDW.

We bought one disk from the site and there were some pics of another party on ours. I think I mentioned that here before, it was a very pushy woman with two kids who cut the line from the exit and somehow 2 or 3 of her pics ended up on my photopass. Maybe that was intentional on the photopass photog part just so she would NOT get her pics  cause she was line cutting and the photog registered them on mine thinking I could just delete before we ordered. I would not doubt it. She was the epitome of pushy mom with her kids and to top it off could not speak a word of English (or pretended not to, to get special treatment) so she just shoved her little darlings (who, I have to hand to them, looked downright embarassed by Supermom) in front of everyone!

ALL her pics ended up on my CD and there were different photogs. so it may be something the photogs do at Fantasy Faire to *get even* with an SG, could it be? Nahhhhhhhh ;) heeheehee... It was interesting that ALL her pics ended up on my disc, so it could also have been a glitch in the photopass site adding them to my disk...I like to think there is justice out there. She probably did not get a one of her photos, since I got them all. That would be sad for the kids, but it MIGHT teach her a lesson.

So make sure you don't miss the date for buying the CD. Get those pictures soon. I guess you could always just buy multiple CDS if you don't find them all soon enough to get them on one CD. Someone here knows how long one has to order the pics and CD from the site. I am brainfarting this morning!

The pictures start expiring 30 days from when the first one was taken. I know a trick though to keep the pictures from going away, you get them transferred to a new card and the time restarts on all the pictures. I did that the other day with mine. I was talking with the Photopass CM who helped me with that and she said she has pictures from December on her card from doing exactly that.

There should be some common sense ground rules.

Example: There was a particular Pocahontas who was, no denying, quite attractive. My wife was tired and I took our daughter to meet her. While in line I noticed that there were far more Dads in the line than normal. Little girl in front of us say that she would like a hug from Pocahontas, her dad replies, "So would I". Harmless joking around..

Well, everyone was well behaved, but she certainly attracted a far larger male population than most.

My wife still picks on me about this because when my daughter and I returned, she asked, (to our daughter) "Well, how did you like Pocahontas?" and I couldn't help but reply, "Pocahontas was pretty stacked." So I get the "pervert" comments any time there's a Pocahontas around.

(note: I was video taping and picture taking, I had no contact with Pocahontas other than answering a few questions for my daughter as she was only 3 or 4 at the time. I did enjoy the view however)

Now, in this case, everything was harmless but I could easily see things getting out of hand and security possibly needing to be called in. It's a real tricky situation. Where does the line of harmless joke end and stalker/pervert begin?

PS. Do a google search for Yuki Love if you are interested in seeing this particular friend of Pocahontas (note: NOT safe for work, or possibly for marriages either..)

I remember when I was on another forum for Disney planning some guy posted photos of Pocahontas while she was squatted down cuddling a child, you could see right down her top, lets just say his comments about the photo were not about his child, dirty s*d.

Handy trick for us CMs. It allows us to build up a whole heck of a lot of pictures before buying the CD or anything. I'm working on getting the "magic" shots (the ones with things added in like Tinkerbell in your hand in the MK) and I am going to sometime soon start going to the character locations that have Photopass photographers to get my pictures with the characters.

The magic shots are fun and there's a bunch. There's Tinkerbell in front of the castle, fighting Captain Hook just down from Pirates, a ghost sitting on the hearse in front of Mansion with you in front of it, Stitch sitting by you on a bench in Epcot, Mickey and the gang flying over in a hang glider (Soarin' magic shot but mine were taken in the World Showcase), Stith coming out of the ground at Studios, Simba in your arms in AK, and more.

Some are harder to get as the photographers for them are only out for a little while and not always there. The Captain Hook and Mansion ones are like that, the photographers are only there a little while in the morning and only if they aren't short handed that day. I'm pretty sure I have all the MK magic shots but the Mansion one. The day I was there working on getting it and Captain Hook the Toontown DPI base was short handed and as they are the one's who do all Liberty Square photos they weren't doing the Mansion that day. Another trick is to ask the photographers that are out taking pictures about their magic shots.

I still need to get by AK to get some more regular shots and that park's magic shots. What I do is stop by the photo center on my way into the park and ask them about their magic shots. While at the MK I had them call their base (Main Street) and the Toontown base to find out about the Hook and Mansion ones as those are the harder ones to get in that park

Tinkerbell, Stitch coming out of the ground, and others are very easy to get as they are done by the photographers in the normal locations.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I believe there is another magic shot at Studios but the photographers that do it only come out for a little while on the street that goes from the entrance to the hat just before the parade. I missed them the last time I was there as I had someplace to be.

Anyone can do it but the average guest can't as they won't be able to get into one of the photo centers in time.

They are. I enjoy having the pictures taken and then seeing them later on once the magic has been added in.
