Hey I have a pretty bad one too. That horrible green shirt with "Save The Earth" printed all over it. GRR!

Not covering barcodes is a Huuuuuuuuuuge nono! If anyone ever saw mine I would just say I got lost, could they point me to the emporium?

Really? Too bad there was no way for me to know her name so there was really no way for me to report her. "Ummm, yeah, I just saw a character friend onstage in her basics with the barcodes uncovered. No,I don't know her name or which character she is friends with." That'll be a really effective conversation with Guest Relations, wouldn't it?EeyoresButterfly wrote:Not covering barcodes is a Huuuuuuuuuuge nono! From her height I think she might be friends with either Mickey or Minnie but I don't know for sure. I don't know what the height ranges are for the different friends except that to be friends with Mickey or Minnie you have to be pretty short.
I've heard that me that being around 6'4", 6'5" I could be friends with Beast, Chewbaca (only around during the Stars Wars Weekends), Sweetums (the big, hairy Muppet only seen at MuppetVision nowadays), and possibly the Queen of Hearts. This is what I've heard, I don't know for sure if this list is accurate or even complete. I don't really think I could handle being a friend but I am interested in who I could be friends with.
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

The Bank of Main Street is the AP processing centre for Disneyland Park. APs are a much larger segment of the DLR's visitor population compared to WDW. It's where APs go to obtain their APs (if they bought them at the Ticket Booths), upgrade their tickets to APs (if they decide to do so after they enter the park), replace, lost ones, and so on.Shorty82 wrote:What's Main Street Bank?
It's roughly in the same position as the Photo Shop over at the MK (the one next to the Italian Restaurant) across from City Hall.

Okay, thanks. I never knew that DL had a specific place to handle APs, though it does make sense.glendalais wrote:The Bank of Main Street is the AP processing centre for Disneyland Park. Exposition Hall is what you're talking about. It isn't next to the Tony's, Tony's is inside of Expo Hall. Tony's takes up the left 1/4 or so of the building while the rest is Expo Hall itself (though only a small portion of that is dedicated to Photopass and merchandise). As I work in there sometimes and am curious anyway I've seen or been in most of the building except for Tony's. Sadly a good bit of the building has become mostly unused (The Walt Disney Story Theater) or backstage areas. It's roughly in the same position as the Photo Shop over at the MK (the one next to the Italian Restaurant) across from City Hall.
The old theater is used occasionally but that's it. My brother told me his students (he's a music teacher) sang in there the other week and a security guard I was talking with today told me it is being used for security briefings on Grad Nights as so many guards are brought on there's nowhere else big enough that they can use.

Ugly? I just looked up the costume on the Hub (I haven't ever eaten there) and ugly is an understatement. That costume is hideous!EeyoresButterfly wrote:It could be worse, you could be wearing Pizzafari. One of my CP instructors said that the consensus is those are the ugliest costumes on property. :)
While some of the AK costumes are ugly, others are down right unimaginative. The Safari's costume is almost exactly the same as the Jingle Cruise's except that Safari has a patch on the sleeve that says "Kilimanjaro Safaris". I've seen the two costumes side by side so I know this for a fact.
I like the look of the MS merchandise costume though I'm not looking forward to working at a cart wearing it during the summer. The vest especially gets quite warm and the leather piece where the suspenders come together in back sometimes bothers me if I'm in the heat for a while and it hasn't been that hot lately. The long sleeves of the shirt and the pants made of polyester and wool don't help.
Other than the heat issues I really like how the costume looks and overall it is pretty comfortable (though the suspenders take getting used to). My brother and SIL both say I look very good in my costume and the other day two girls said I looked better than any other guy wearing it.

Re: Bad show, just plain and simple bad show.
I have a few comments on various comments.
At Epcot International Gateway wears the same costume as the generic World Showcase. The winter I was assigned as a greeter at Epcot I had costumes for both Front Gate as well as IG. Depending on where I was assigned determined which costume I wore in. I had a few times when I showed up and was actually at a turnstile in front when I was told that I had to be at IG for the remainder of the day.
There is one restroom outside Typhoon, and it is the companion restroom for the park. It is often used by bus drivers. Also, it is the restroom that is used by the Greeters, Tickets and Guest Relations as it is a long hike to get to the backstage restrooms.
And I have seen some statistics lately that indicate that about 70% of the WDW Guests are first time visitors, while about 70% of DLR Guests are repeats. There are a lot more AP holders for DL than there are for WDW.

Is that the shirt with all of the flags on it? Man I would kill to own one of those.. That has been my favorite costume piece since I first saw it..Cheshire Figment wrote:I have a few comments on various comments.

Another one that is bad in the heat is the POTC merch costume. I spent 2 weeks in Adventureland back in 2005, and the worst one of the 3 costumes- basic Adventureland (purple PJ-like costume), POTC, and Glow/Squeeze. I was so hot when I was wearing it. Another one that I didn't like was Liberty Square. I nearly killed myself climbing the stairs in it.Shorty82 wrote:

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!
