Excuse me, Wombat. Not to hijack this thread, but shouldn't you be over there posting new segments of your trip report rather than loitering around here with your fellow SGTers?
I wanna hear all about the Sailaway Party.

Heh, caught me. What with the chorus competition this weekend and the fact that I forgot my notes at home this morning, I am behind on writing and posting. :o: I'll get new stuff up as soon as I can!

Yeah, watch it Pirate, or you'll end up with a pair of hoofprints on your forehead, or maybe your backside. :D:

I'd be more afraid of those boots.

Not much to say today. I was in the Firehouse for parade 1 tonight and in the Chapeau (sadly ringing and not sewing tonight) for parade 2. Hearing the parade go by right outside twice gave me a headache. Thankfully we had some aspirin in the medicine box.

I didn't have any SGs tonight but a few stupid questions. Such as how to get to Frontierland, mind you this was just after the parade started and I was in the Firehouse so there was no way to get there as all the paths were blocked. I did have two different families ask me about getting to the Crystal Palace as they had reservations during the parade. I told them I was pretty certain the Crystal Palace wouldn't mind them being late as it was the parade that delayed them. I did try calling the CP for the first group but all of the operators were busy so I couldn't get connected.

I saw two ducks wander into City Hall tonight while at the Firehouse. No idea what happened to them after that though. They looked from a distance like two ducks that were on Main Street last night during the parade. They kept wandering back and forth and even held up one of the triple floats for a little bit. After the parade last night I went backstage and started talking to this woman back there. Apparently these same ducks were back there originally and got in the way of the floats maneuvering into position a decent bit. I'm guessing that last night they wandered out of the gate when it was opened up either for one of the bands that preceded the parade or the parade itself.

I found out Wishes is a LOT louder behind Main Street than on it. It echoes off the buildings and everything back there. I had a few minutes left on my break so decided to step out back to get a bit of fresh air. I knew it was just after 10:00 but I had forgotten all about Wishes. That is until a loud boom made me jump a mile. Kind of cool seeing Wishes from back there. I saw a couple CMs standing back there watching. Sadly I had to get back to work so couldn't stand around.

Picked up a few shifts on the EHH. I picked up two Zone 1 shifts (my normal area), a stocking shift, and a shift ringing in the Confectionery. All these are on MSE so I know the area. These will help me get the hours I need though I'd much rather be full-time and have a decent number of guaranteed hours and not have to depend on the EHH.

I talked to the Cast Service Center and talked to a CSM today and according to her the reason that most PAC shifts require attractions training is because PAC falls under park operations. I'm not sure why that is or even if she knew what she was talking about. I wish PAC didn't have the attractions training requirement as there seems to always be a bunch of those on the EHH and I think I could handle it.

It totally stinks about PAC. It had never been attractions-trained before. I have done so many shifts on Main Steet, I could set up in my sleep. I am VERY upset about the change. :(

I will be your guide for this magical journey into the movies. It's the perfect job for me, because I love movies! Is everybody ready? Great, because it's showtime. Ready when you are, CB!

That makes absolutely no sense. By design, it's one of those roles where almost anyone can do it, and isn't the EHH designed to allow to pick up shifts in other LoBs??

Sounds to me more like a way to keep down labour costs, by reducing the number of shifts you can pick up on The Hub.
