We should get a "magical memories" thread going. We do a lot of venting on this site because anytime you deal with high guest traffic, there will be things to vent about, but there are also some wonderful memories, and that is why I want to go back.
Absolutely! I would love to see a thread like that! You should start one butterfly!!!

Ok, now a good story to balance it (because really, there are for more good than bad). This isn't one that happened to me, but it's still a great story. A little girl was coming through MAW. She got very sick on the plane and an ambulance had to meet her at the airport. Her wish was to visit Cinderella. The Disney managers got wind of the situation. They went to Toontown to ask Cinderella if she would visit the girl in the hospital. Cinderella went and visited the girl in the hospital room- the girl died later that night. The next day the mother came into the park and told Cinderella how much what she did meant to the little girl and the family. They have pictures of it backstage Epcot, and it always makes me tear up.
That is the kind of Disney story I love, what a wonderful thing to do but my heart breaks for her family. Christine

I may have written this before but I have my own personal stories to tell. I'm sorry if anyone has read it before. They both happened in 06.
1. Tristan was having a horrible year in school. He has Asberger's Syndrome and was having a very difficult time with some of the other kids. He was picked on in school weekly, had plummeting low self esteem and worse, was having suicidal thoughts. At the age of nine. Anyway, we went to the Pirates Tutorial and he was picked as one of the initiates. He was lucky enough to be the child to "fight" Jack Sparrow. I can't begin to tell you how incredible these guys were with him and how much they built up his spirit, he felt like a million bucks. They said wonderful things to him about his courage and spirit, it was phenomenal. I wrote to Disney about these guys and if I ever see them again I will thank them myself.
2. Crush picked Tristan AND his twin Perry (autistic) to talk to. Perry was delighted beyond belief and kept looking back at me saying "he picked me, he picked me!!" like it was a miracle. Crush picked Tristan this past October as well (he looks like Harry Potter and kind of sticks out) and told him he was "tres intelligente" when Tristan asked him what the migratory habits of turtles were.
These little interactions meant so much to our family and really make our trips magical.
