Thought on the original subject (I know, shun the disbeliever, shun, shun, blah blah blah...), I have about four hours of Segway time. I can't help but think about how after half an hour I am ready to get off and walk a while. I don't do all that well just standing in one place; I can't imagine standing like you're in one place as you do on a Segway all day. It is recreational, or even a tool, but not a mobility device.
Now, I can understand the desire to be at head level while on an ECV. But Segway is not the answer.
You hit it right on. We have taken the WDW tour three times now, and the DCA one once. That was our notice, that after about an hour or so, you need to get off. People don't realize that you are flexing your calf muscles and so on to shift weight to steer and balance.
After the first time on them we thought about buying a couple at home. but then realized that the cost would outweigh the use.
they are fun to use, but not worth the cost. we opted for new mountain bikes!!
hehehehe

You aren't one of those guys who says, "I've got a stationary bike but it didn't start out that way." are you?

No, but I find that my time on it is limited, as the Grumpy pups like to go, and its easier to walk, than ride with them in tow!! (also they could pull me off the bike if they see a neighborhood kitty!)

Bah, take all of your segway's and ecv's.
Nothing will match the awesomeness of my ADA Donkey. He senses if I am in any sort of medical trouble, carries me so I don't have to walk and he even sniffs out the best place to have a cup of coffee!

Does he get you through queue lines faster? And what did you have to say to GR to convince them?
I'm thinking I might need an ADA giraffe. Her name is Rory, she lives right now at AK Lodge. I am going to take her home someday. :D:

Yes, he has a flatulence problem. He is able to clear a queue at 30 yards.
Maybe it was me.
GR was not an issue after I got, I mean the Donkey got through with them muhahahahaha
I'd love to have a ADA giraffe. You could climb up the neck and get a birds eye view of the parade!

Craptastic! Now we have to watch for moroons on standing ecvs. The seated ones are bad enough with some folks, but standing ones. Sheesh! There's an acident waiting to happen. After the first couple of accidents, I hope they ban them. The ECVs thay have now are fine.
Oh and the next time I need the disabled vehicle I am going for the Cleopatra method. I will be carried in by my own nubile young boy slaves. Rowwwwrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...*cougar growl* hehehehehe ;)

I must be larger that Susi as I want the strong slaves who are virile and strong not some young pups, lol. I want a therapy dog but would take a therapy camel or rhino. Rita the Rhino and me at WDW and I would say "sit Rita" and she would squash some SGs.

Now you're speaking my language. Actually, Animal Kingdom Lodge is holding Rory for me until I get a house big enough. :D:
