And look at all the lurkers coming out of the SGT woodwork! They know a good cause when they see one. :D:

Like I said in another thread, we love the lurkers here, too. We know they're here and a part of the atmosphere, even if they just watch. I can certainly understand the reasons for not wanting to post here too often.

Thank you, Krissy, for your help. Thank you KidAtHeart, Chuck (GrumpyinLA), and one other person, but I don't actually know who it is. I'd love to know who it is so I can thank them personally, even if it is a PM.

So far, we now have either $170 or $200... there's a discrepancy in the reports. Getting it worked out with Amazon now.

Hello again, just wanted to update you all. We currently have raised $195, thanks to all who have helped so far, to those who will, and to those who are/will in other ways than the money. If nothing else, thank you for the moral support. I have no doubt that we are going to make this work, and very well!

That's right! It adds up! We are now up to $200. That means that we have most of a round-trip plane ticket taken care of now. Of course, if my Alaska Air contact should work out, then that's money that gets put into making the trip even more fun.

I talked to Elyse the other day, and they are incredibly touched by your generosity. Keep in mind, I haven't donated anything yet, this is all other SGT members doing this so far, I've just made the page and made a place where money can go for the moment. That $200 is not counting some of the larger donations that have been promised after the new year. In all, I know of at least $800 that is guaranteed at this point. That's a third of what I have down for the total amount needed, and that's with a bit of padding built in, just to make sure nothing can go awry.

Again, I think you all.

So...I'm still catching up on threads I missed while I was lost on the internet and then while I was in WDW. I plan to give a little something when the opportunity arises (damned gub'ment salaries)... I'm curious, though, do we have a tentative head count of who all will be attending? I might be able to go...but it wouldn't be for the whole time, and I'd probably only be able to afford a value resort (probably POP). Would it be worth me showing up? Would I even be welcome? Would there be a date I could target for a mega-meet, when everyone will be available? It's not that long a flight down there, but it'd still be over a G for me to fly, spend a few nights, get into the parks, and eat... :( I'll see if I can balance my budget... But the more specifics we could get about the plan for meet-ups, the better.

For anybody who's planning on going for this adventure, apparently there's a special promotion going on right now for the time period we're looking at: book a room and tickets package and get your tickets upgraded to park hoppers with the water parks and more option for free. Not a huge savings, but it's something! (You need to book by Dec 15 to get this promo from what I was reading online...)

I'm still working out if I can join, but at least I've run it past my roommates now and they are okay with me bailing for a short week away with you guys (meaning I have rides to and from airports on this side and people to watch Kwahati [my puppy]). Any specifics I can get on who's going (or looking into going) and what kind of game plan we're looking at would be great. I'm thinking (assuming I go) about getting a dining package to help take care of my food costs. Any chance there is a plan to take the Bubble Ladies somewhere nice for dinner at some point? I love any excuse to put on a tie! Any chance of taking them to a water park too? Does anybody know if they drink? I can't imagine them not loving the Adventurer's and Comedy Clubs... Thanks in advance for any info I can get. (And a big thanks to BW & MainStreeter for taking on the monumental task of planning this. We all know you guys are great, but this is above and beyond!)

Right now, the dates we are looking at are March 3 - 13. Anyone who can make it is welcome to come. If we get enough people for one night, then let's do a big ol' group thing.
