Cusodial Pet Peeves: My Dump Page
Hey the sand is a tradeoff for the popcorn cart mysteriously disappearing :P I'd rather kids play with the sand, which can easily be cleaned up, then them play with the rocks in the tree base grates near hyperion theater and get them stuck in the grates which is basically vandalism cause the rocks can't be removed from the grates and there are tons of rocks all over them.
On two occasions i have had guests come up to me and tell me those trash cans are on fire, which it looks like when billows of smoke are coming up from the collection chute. also most guests have but the slightest clue of what the holes are for and they don't bother to look at the image as there are usually only a few cigarettes in there at the end of the day. I say we need to get new ash trays with the removable tray.BohoRoohaha wrote:LOL. Yea i noticed the new dispensers at DTD too. they're awesome. i like em cuz you don't have to restock the towels so much. i hope they do it inside the park. I also think that the thing they're doing with the cans in the smoking area at Condor is cool too. i haven't noticed so many cigarettes on the ground, but maybe that's just me.
Eh, the towel dispensers look too bulky, but I approve of them because I am tired of when leads complain that you don't stock the normal towels enough each round even though you know they wont run out. That and people OCDing with the soap and causing leakage due to overilling. Filling them up 3/4 of the way will last 2 days people... They are in my college dorms and they work ok and never jam, except the janitor always leaves it barely stocked on friday and it runs out all weekend long... pathetic.

Oh hell ya! I'd make designs with the sand and handprints and mounds and stuff. :D ...if i wasn't so conscience of the poor smucks that have to clean it up. lol.Cause they are kids...Ten bucks says you would have done the same thing. -grins- I know I would have!
went to DL last night and tried littering. it didn't work. i ended up picking it up and throwing it in the trash. dude the restroom by the mainstreet bank is tiny! where is your guys stockcloset? what is the womens split like? i've heard that as soon as you finish your round you have to do another one cuz it gets messy again. how much time do they give you to do that?
anywhoo i have Hollywood today... might get pulled to restrooms if they can't find anyone for that shift so we'll see. toodles

Good luck with the crowds...i saw how bad they were when i signed my sister in this morning (almost all the gates were open, i counted 12...with the line going past the letters), and good luck with the sand of course...and even worse the Tower stickers. With like 10,000 of those being handed out each day we see so many of them. I see the kids footprints in the sand so I know they are playing around INSIDE the flowerbeds. You're so lucky as a girl to be freed of restrooms so early and get 50% area shifts. Didn't serve your "sentence" like girls were forced to do so when I was new. Of course i am stuck in area and couldn't get restrooms unless i took like a 8 hour cut in hours each week.

so, i was over at Disneyland after working a 7 hour shift, taking advantage of the final day of the 40% off sale when i decided to leave..During the parade! there i was outside of the firestation and city hall completely deadlocked in wall to wall traffic. we ended up standing there til the end of the parade. It was fucking insane!!! People were running out screaming, "YA! I'm out! I'm out!" I'd heard of it being crowded like that at DL during the parade, but i'd never actually been IN it.

There have been two DCA references on The Simpsons:BohoRoohaha wrote:...there was a DCA line in the Simpsons. Its the one where Homer's mom gets arrested after the renaming of a building, and Homer steals the Prison bus and he's like, "I'll hide you in a place that's empty, with not a lot of people, Disney's California Adventures!" Or something like that. i'm not sure. but that's what i heard. :D
-Homer promises to hide his fugitive mother "someplace where there's nobody for miles, Disney's California Adventure."
-When the family visits Sideshow Bob in prison, Marge says she doesn't think prison is "a great place to bring the children", to which Lisa replies "It still beats Disney's California Adventure." Bart and the rest of the family loudly agree.
The violentest place on earth!
Yet somehow DCA climbed up a few spots and is number 6 on the top 10 Theme parks visited. (DL is number 2 only 2nd to MK)Yfoog wrote:There have been two DCA references on The Simpsons:BohoRoohaha wrote:...there was a DCA line in the Simpsons. all in good time
the only beef i had with dca when it first opened is it was half a park at full price, if they had lowered the price at the start i think it would have made a huge difference in how people reacted to it(or had the one day park hopper avail from the start). with the slow addition of attractions it is becoming a nice park. we usually go there in the middle of the day when it gets crowded at DL but now that we have a kid we will prob have to go to playhouse disney a lot.
