Hawaii is taking some pretty big liberties claiming nemo and friends. I know the water all blends together, but Australia to Hawaii might be a stretch. Maybe that's their vacation home.

Newcomers to Hawaii often can't wait to get into the ocean to snorkel in the hope of finding Nemo, the little clownfish hero of cinematic fame. They are surprised to discover that there are no actual clownfish in Hawaii's waters. The nearest fish in appearance to Nemo is a brilliantly colored ocean inhabitant that is fascinating in its own right: the yellowtail coris wrasse, also sometimes called the tomato or clown wrasse even though it is no relation to the beloved movie star.

In its juvenile or Nemo-like stage, the yellowtail coris is bright red with five white spots or "saddles", outlined in black. These are scattered across the top of its body from nose to tail. On its way to adulthood, this attention-grabbing wrasse with gold-rimmed eyes ceases to bear any resemblance to Nemo. Instead, it passes through a greenish-blue phase and develops two defining characteristics: iridescent blue spots and a sunshine-yellow tail. When fully grown, the yellowtail coris assumes a predominantly reddish-orange or reddish-brown base color, along with dorsal and anal fins edged in electric blue. Males differ from females by being darker in hue with a light-colored bar vertically bisecting the center of the body.

I'm going to have to declare the "Hortense" question a tie. While I was thinking of the ostrich which Stripes nailed, one must give due homage and credit to Hobie for his outstanding effort.

Sadly, I've not been scheduled to work recently, so the next few questions may be some which have not (yet) stumped my fellow Cast Members. That caveat given....

Rainbow Road to Oz

Development was cancelled because a script for the movie was never finished. Interest in Oz related projects went down after Walt died and management had multiple turnovers.

Nice one, Hobie. Not the project I was looking for, but full credit nonetheless.

Can anyone name another such project?

Though this is just a guess, was it perchance the Muppet version of the Great Movie ride? I seem to recall that they were going to recreate a scene from Wizard of Oz, but not sure if it was the City of Oz itself (or if my mind has wandered into realms of fanatsy again, for that matter.)

If that was the attraction, then it was cancelled because Jim Henson died and the family, feeling insulted by Disney Legal in the immediate aftermath, walked away from the deal to sell the Muppets to Disney which included more development in the area around Muppet Vision 3D.

Dorothy of Oz Birthday Party - Disneyland.

I've heard 2 versions of what the attraction was supposed to be.

1. The Storybook boats would have entered and gone through the Land of Oz while a birthday party for Dorothy took place.
2. A junior rollercoaster inside Rock Candy Mountain with Storybook in caves beneath the mountain. Casey Jr would travel the mountain, with the interior of the mountain serving as the finale for both RCM & Storybook. The final scene would have been a birthday party for Dorothy.

Cancelled for being sickeningly sweet. It looked bad and the scale model, made of real candy, melted. :ewww:

Cosmo Spacely was voiced by Mel Blanc.
Mel Blanc also voiced Bugs Bunny.
Bugs Bunny (as voiced by Mel) appeared on screen with Mickey Mouse in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"
"Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" is owned by the Walt Disney Company.

I'm sure I'm wrong, but I just wanted to play.

Don't forget Cousin Orville in CoP! That was Mel Blanc as well, but I have no idea if that is what he is looking for.
