The wife and I had a second honeymoon there back in 1989. We stayed at the Contemporary resort that time.

This blew my mind! The first trip my wife and I took to the World was in 1989. We called it our second honeymoon. We stayed at the Contemporary.

We were there in September. How about you?

We're staying at the Polynesian - a HUGE splurge for this dyed-in-the-wool discount-season moderate gal. We keep having a conversation that goes something like this:

Me: DISNEY! Disney Disney Disney DISNEY!

Him: PolyNEsian!

Me: Lapu lapu.

Him (sung): Monorail...

Me (sung higher): Monorail...

Him (sung higher): Monorail...

Me (sung highest): Monorail!

....at which point we declare that Disney is full of very silly words.

Going around World Showcase is like traveling in time and relative dimensions in space! :tardis:

I guess some folks don't realize that the Disney resorts are designed to be "fun for all ages", as the old pitch-line goes. Also, "Family friendly" does not mean the same as "family exclusive". Just my thoughts...

Oh, and Seeing Eye Child? "What's the word? MONORAIL!"

As Zazu and others will tell you, I am a big fan of the Lapu Lapu. I made one for my Lady Wallaby once, very tasty drink. Yes, I even made it in a hollowed-out pineapple, I am now quite good at it.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I spoke to my wife about this and it turns out it actually was in 1990 near the end of July.

Do you make them on April 27 to celebrate?

BDoSGT, I do not remember the recipe, except that it involves lots of rum and goes down smooth. Hobie, I am racking my brain to think of what is April 27th.
