Better idea. Just get rid of Fastpass all together make people wait in lines. Oh my god! Pirates and Mansion proved that Fastpass doesn't work. Then no more stupid guests ... oh wait that would be wishful thinking.

I had a guest ask me today at GMR where the fp is at. I told them we don't offer fp and they went on about how long the 20 min queue is. I mean come on don't you realize that fp had made all the queues longer. I remember Buzz without fp at mk and the longest queue was 35 mins. With fp the queue is 90 mins.

I love the guests who ask what time an event starts (extra points if they mention the showing time in their question) and then get belligerent when I give them the exact information that's already posted in the GTTM or on the Info Board.

"No, I want to know what time it *REALLY* starts."

As though either A) we purposely mislead guests or B) I am psychic and can therefore tell them that Snow White is going to call in an her understudy is going to have to go on.

I know what you mean I love doing parade land help and people come up to you and ask what time the 4:00 parade starts. But whats great is telling them 6:00 and they believe you and walk away before you can even tell them your joking.

fastpass is effective, sometimes, when it's busy and we actually have a wait time, however on days like today, when managment decides we don't need full rotation to run the attraction at full capacity, and we dn't really have much of a line anyway, we should be able to close our fast pass. Today was supposed to be my playday, but i wound up working (not comlaining, this give me six days, well sorta complaining, because it's another week or so before i can actually go and see holiday mansion.) Any way we had people bitching out the butt about how the fast pass line was 25 minutes, instead of like 0 (one woman had the nerver to tell me that on EVERY other attraction it gets you directly to the front of the line, and it GARUNTEES a less than 15 minutes wait)

my lead was actually sending people to City Hall and telling them that the reason we were slow is because managment
A) insists on having us have fastpass open, regardless of the fact that there was virtually no standby line.
and B)management did not give us the labor resources to properly run the attraction at full capacity with fastpass

and essentially tell them to complain that we were understaffed, and that they didn't feel fast pass was worth thier time, and really it wasn't, because they plan thier days around thier return time, and expect tht short wait, and we try and accomdate that, but we can't all the time, and it really sucks for people that can't come to the park on a daily basis, and experience everything whenever, like most of our APs do.

i usually tell people not to bother with getting fastpasses, on days like what today was, because there was little to no need for it, and we were all shitting our pants trying to keep things running smoothly. It really makes me angry that managment understaffed us, and i had to give up my freetime to come in and work, as a result of thier faults, well i didn't have to, but i try and show iniative. The managment team should have been there as RO's today, so that they can know what we deal with when they do that, or at least remember what it was like back when they were leads and and RO's. i should probly stop ranting now.

Aww poor GMC. Well wait a week then come visit me at Mansion, or find a morning on a weekend you are off and I'll go with you.

Yes people don't understand fastpass, nor do they try to when you explain it. America (and quite possible the world) has become the biggest group of impatient people ever! I am impatient but hell I grew up going to DL as a kid and lines were just something you delt with. Everyone had to wait in line. There was no Fastpass. I remember in my training that upon return Fastpass was a 5 to 20 minute wait. The Fastpass wait time also depends on the number of tickets we give out per period (we give out too many), when the people come back, and if we had to give out re-admits that day (IE evac). I also hate rider switch passes. We have them at mansion over holiday as a curdesy. MANSION HAS NO RESTRICTIONS!!! And its not that scary. When I was young, if we weren't tall enough or were afraid to ride, my parents didn't take us on it. I remember the first time I went on Thunder, I was 7, I was tall enough, and I also remember that I don't recall any of the mountaisn being in the park till then cause my parents didn't take me near them cause I wasn't tall enough!

Ok enough of my wandering rant. And I have to work Mansion tonight.

damn lazy kids, what bugs even more is that people expect to be treated like royalty because the have a fast pass, no, stand-by patrons get the same service you do, and once the lines have merged, everybody is equal. i want to go one day at indy w/o fast pass, and see if we can get the same counts.

Gavon the Mansion A lead wants to pull fastpass on a busy day in November and see what happens. Oh I bet Indy and all the attractions w/ fastpass would either get the same counts or better counts without fast pass. I always feel sorry for standby and if fast pass takes to long then don't make stand by suffer! I send groups of stand by in till fastpass finds thier tickets. (Serves them right for putting them away)

i usually answer "yes, but not always, it's ok though, there's always something that reminds me why i come back to work each day, (it's usually people emphasizing with me about what i have to put up with [not said]) like when people come off the ride and say thank you, or just come back smiling."

Kryotes what location do you work?
