Stupid Guest Tricks

I've heard from a couple of people that there is a ghost in the upstairs office in the Golden Horseshoe. Story goes that a former CM had a heart attack in the office and died up there. We went up there one night, and the people I was with felt a presence and felt the temperature drop, but personally, I felt nothing, so I dunno.

Actually, I registered just to ask this question (long time lurker, first time poster. Hi, everyone!). It can't just be me. So: what about Splash Mountain at WDW? That place gives me the creeps, and it has nothing to do with the drop. Anyone else notice this?

I have heard the stories about Star Trader stockroom. Worked there several times a few years ago. Never did see "Helter Skelter". One time I was alone on the top floor after park closing getting some hats to restock when someone turned out the lights (the light switch was downstairs). Scared me half to death! I yelled to turn the lights back on, but no one did. It was pitch black and I had to feel around to find the stairs and the switch. I don't really believe in ghosts but something weird happened one time in 20th Century Music. I saw this happen. A framed print on the wall didn't just fall down, but actually arched out and just missed hitting a guest on the foot. The glass broke. Luckily the guy wasn't' hurt. He hadn't touched the wall in any way. Never have been able to explain that one.

hold up, what is this all about? i have tiki knowlege, along with a few others on this site. i don't need Polynesian warriors, or angry war gods after me at the end of the night.

Hopefully that only happens in hawaii and not our little slice of hawaii called the tiki room. Be as it may I will be looking over my shoulder as I close tiki tomorrow night. :(

WTF???!!! Where did that one come from? We used to make a lot of jokes about the rumors that Walt was cryogenically frozen ("yeah, that slab of ice over in the Tomorrowland meat locker") but there are no graves on the property. Ashes have been improperly disposed of by sneaky guests but no graves.

First of all, there is a county cemetery district that wouldn't allow such a thing, and if there had been a grave from the old Dominguez property, that predated the cemetery district or churchyards, the company would have had to move it to the old Anaheim Cemetery (which isn't that far from the park) or a consecrated Catholic burial ground during construction (I assume with a name like Dominguez they are Catholic - I never asked Ron when I worked with him). My family has been in Orange County since the days that it was part of New Spain. There was the old Yorba cemetery (the old line pioneers from the Spanish days), the burial ground that belongs to the Mission in San Juan Capistrano (old Spanish families in the south part of the county), the Anaheim Cemetery (Civil War vets, et al, along with the German families from the mid 19th century) and old Fairhaven (again - mid 19th century forward) before the county started filling up, and the older families like mine and the Dominguez family (who owned the property that Walt bought) are buried in the old cemeteries.

***New information regarding the closure of the "Blair Witch Trail"***

So, apparently there was a group of Magic Music Days kids who got separated from the rest of their group when they made a wrong turn on their way back to Fantasyland. Instead of going through the tunnel straight ahead, they made a right, and ended up on the Blair Witch Trail.

As far as I've been able to piece together, the kids were reported missing late in the evening. A team of six DLR security CM's were sent to look for them. Only one returned. He wasn't talking when he got back, and as far as I know, he's still isn't.

The next search team brought a Pluto Unit with them. It was with that dog's help that they were able to find the tuba. Someone... or something had mangled it almost beyond recognition. They could barely make out the inscription on it-- "Johann". Little Johann probably could have escaped if he hadn't left his inhaler in his tuba case back on the bus.

No trace of the other missing kids has been found as of yet.
