Re: Overheard in the kingdom
Greetings WWWD, I am the resident dragon and would like to offer you a very warm* welcome to that slice of the internet we call SGT. This website contains threads with quick twists and turns and I would like to advise you to not try too hard to keep up with them. Please keep your hands, arms, and legs safely inside the website at all times and enjoy your stay.

Knowing what a WWWD pin looks like shows you're ahead of the pack. Welcome!WWWD wrote:Thank you for the warm welcome.
I'll try not to act too stupid.
(I've got two myself.)

Actually, I'm the WWWD founder. We launched it after that terrible Pirates' event at DL. Cynthia Harriss and I became fairly good friends after that mess!
She loved that I walked into her office with a list of solutions instead of just a bitch fest.

In that case, you are especially welcome here. (Hope that's okay with the rest of you guys.) ;)WWWD wrote:Actually, I'm the WWWD founder. We launched it after that terrible Pirates' event at DL. Cynthia Harriss and I became fairly good friends after that mess!

I'm trying to keep the Disney magic alive over at the Walt Disney Family Museum, so getting to put into practice some of the wonderful lessons that Cast Members have shared with me over the years.
The last time we were in DL, two CMs were discussing not only their love lives but some other CMs' as well in front of the attraction board by the Castle. I asked them "Are you on stage or back stage, 'cause if you're back stage, I'm out of place and if you're onstage, your conversation is out of place" they just glared at me.

I can beat that. Last year, I saw a couple change thier babies very well used brown diaper while riding the monrail to the MK and then Leave it ON the monrail for all to guest returning to TTC to enjoy.CptnSkippy wrote:Ugh - I recall when i was younger seeing a family letting their little boy pee off the side of the TTC monorail station. :duh:

That is beyond disgusting. I can't even fathom. *shudder*NemoRanger wrote:I can beat that. Last year, I saw a couple change thier babies very well used brown diaper while riding the monrail to the MK and then Leave it ON the monrail for all to guest returning to TTC to enjoy.
Ya know, I did a week at Disney with an infant and I managed to not change his diaper anywhere but in restrooms and in our resort room. Shocking, I know. And, will wonders never cease, I also managed to put every single one of those diapers into the proper trash bin. Amazing! Honestly, how hard is it, really, to change your baby in a bathroom and throw their nasty diaper away?!
There are just no words for that level of filth and disrespect. People amaze me.

One of the reasons I retired early was because I had started to actually hate people. I am not a violent person and have never struck anyone, but, I had fantasies about it sometimes. I figured I should retire before I went postal on somebodies ass.

I have had that joy on a few occasions. Seems to happen more on Express than Epcot or Lagoon... err, Resort.NemoRanger wrote:I can beat that. My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?
