This statement should be posted on the Hub. Being a CM at Disney is nothing like working anywhere else, and there are good and bad things about that. There are plenty of places that have far fewer behavioral restrictions than Disney. If the restrictions are too much for you, then perhaps you should seek out different employment. Hey, you might even get a better hourly rate.mapo wrote:Hell there is no moon light visiable in any lot any more. Yes, the improved lighting program has been a success at WDW. Now we can all see people changing costumes, out of costume, out of undies, exposed undies and the like.
Public nudity is met with swift action on behalf of WDW Co. They are informed as to policy of keep your damn clothes on...ONCE....then they get a single sex room on 33rd Street.
Identify yourself as a CM? Cool! You just performed your last act as a CM at WDW -- hope it was magical! Oh, did not tell Security you are a CM? Excellent! In a couple of days your manager gets to tell you how everyone knows what you did and now this lovely security host will be walking you to your car. Have a Magical Day!
Reminder: You are a CM 24/7; you are a guest only when off the clock and have paid for guest related priviledges (room, food, your comp ticket). When you are off the clock, do not go into areas for Cast Members. You are not part of the show at that point...but you will be part of a completely different show when you are caught.
Did I mention that it has been a long summer?

However, this is covered in Traditions. I am just a bit more explicit than the pixie dust laden on your first day with the Company.

For a Disney history fan like myself, the heritage part of traditions was awesome (although my host had to help one of the weedies up after he appeared to doze off) the rules part could have been more .... BLUNT. There were a ton of kids who could have used a dose of reality. Even once on stage, I was surprised to see what was toleratedmapo wrote:Thanks for the thought.

.
Parties of 33 should consider dividing their parties into two groups of 16 and a half each.

I know they mention it, but I'd rather see someone from your dept come in there and tell it like it really is. Maybe it would wake up a few of these clowns.mapo wrote:Thanks for the thought.

I find it astounding that some of the people Disney accepts as College Programmers are no better (sometimes even worse) than the SGs they will have to deal with on a daily basis.Fitswimmer wrote:I know they mention it, but I'd rather see someone from your dept come in there and tell it like it really is. It gives people who do the CP looking for a networking opportunity, or for the love of the Mouse, or whatever good reason they have, a bad name, as previous people have said.
As for the parents who are asking the questions - is your kid actually interested in doing the program for their own benefit? Then why aren't they on here, looking up information? That's like when parents come into my place of work (actually, my ex-place of work, considering today was my last day!) and want information for their kid.
"Ma'am, your child is going to need to come in and talk to someone directly. No, he will not be in my department. We have no openings, and he doesn't have this as a choice anyway. *laughing* He'll be lucky if he gets a job at this point, if he's anything like you."
I heard somewhere that only half the people who start the CP finish it. I wouldn't be surprised if that was true, although, like most statistics, it's probably made up.

A few months back in roll call we did hear about a few cast members making out in a car in K-lot. Security caught them and they were fired.
The parking lot is made for those who come to work. If you want to make out, please do that at home. It is bad show.
