Another thing is, mosquitoes. I have bites on my arms; I have repellant in my stuff in storage at church, but I keep forgetting to get it. See, the house only holds so many people, the rest have to sleep out under the pavilion in the back yard. In this economy, shelters fill up quickly, and this place is one of very, very few that are emergency shelters. Lots of people say there's a hundred women living here, but it looks more like 30-35 or so at any one time.
If anyone gives me problems when I and the others move back inside, I'll tell them what you said about gas--I thought it myself, but here you gotta be careful or you'll get kicked out. If you think getting kicked out of the garage for gas was bad, one woman got kicked out, according to her, for having a one-time case of Restless Leg Syndrome. The truth is, though she did have the leg problem, she was also talking on her cell phone after lights out. She was doing this even after being told to stop. Funny how she never mentions that part. She had that coming....

Back in the house yesterday. They said they fixed everything, but when I went to use one of the showers, it didn't come on when I inserted my token, and there was no knob. I had to get an emergency token and use another shower. I made sure everyone knew not to use that one shower because it didn't work. No communication about the important stuff around here. It's like it was when I worked at Knott's or lived with my family.
