My bad-- they say there's three ways you can tell you're getting old, one is your memory starts to go, and I can't remember the other two. :D: ;)

Why was there a boat right up against the sub? Did it need an escort for some reason?
Beautiful pictures, BTW.

Thanks!
The blue boat is a tender. It provides fuel to the sub so they can stay out all day instead of returning to the harbor. It also steadies the sub when the transport vessel comes along side to drop off or pick up passengers.

Wow those are some great pictures! Looking at the whales i keep thinking "Pacific Life, the company you keep" LOL
Also enjoyed shipwreck beach. i'm sure if I ever went on a cruise, that is where i would end up LOL.
Glad you may it through that tsunami scare a few weeks ago. Bru and I were both biting our nails when they said Hawaii was under a watch!

Thanks! Shipwreck Beach was interesting. I'd always thought it was called that because of the one big freighter. Pretty much the entire north east coast of Lanai is littered with wrecks blown ashore as it's downwind from Maui and Molokai.
The tsunami turned out to be a non-event. This time anyway.
