Other memories -- When I was younger, we went to a wedding reception at the Grand Fla. Bored out of our minds, me along with a few other kids snuck off away from the ballroom and rode the monorail over and over and over and over to the curious looks from vacationers who entered the cab seeing about a bunch of 12 years olds in formal attire to greet them. When we got back to the reception, no one even noticed were gone - all the adults were absorbed in their chit chat and dancing to notice anything. to test my balance and to learn trust in something unseen (the Pilot). It speeds up, it slows down, it stops at unexpected times and starts again - much like life.

Second confession - I admit I will "pole dance" with the grip poles -- Don't look at me that way! You know you have been tempted to do it - or at least thought about it! I'm not skilled in that dance form in any way, but I admit it is fun when you have the cab to no one but yourself and your buddies.
If there are security cameras aboard each cab to monitor activity, um - hope you enjoyed the show!

Oh, my favorite thing to say when when boarding one: "Let's go catch the Mono." :D:

My earliest and best monorail memory is smoothly gliding over the Sub Lagoon at Disneyland and me looking and hoping to see my favorite mermaids :)
Disneyland seemed so much more magical from up there, it felt like we were flying over the Park.
My Grandparents and Uncle who are gone now are included in this special memory.

I have a couple new monorail memories to share with you guys from my trip- one will take me a little while to talk about but this one is really funny so I thought I'd share it first.

I noticed, right away, upon boarding Coral that the speil is currently going too fast.

It sounds like "Please stand clear of the doors" a la Alvin and the Chipmunks almost. It just made me laugh and once I had called March from the train (I spent a lot of time just riding the trains around the resort loop and thinking- never made it to the Epcot loop but I had places to be and people to see and that was the whole purpose of the trip) and I was holding the phone up to the speaker so he could hear the sounds- and he immediately started to laugh.

None of the other trains sound like that, just Coral.

Once I was on Lime and the spiels were OK, but the please stand clear of the doors and the ding-dong were in slow motion :D:
