Russell Stover, eh? I'll check that out. I think WalMart carries that brand and it's gotta be cheaper than See's. And no shipping. ;)
IMO, go with See's. Russell Stover does not seem to match the quality of See's.

Agreed, but Russell Stover DOES make decent sugar-free chocolates :)
Just DO NOT EVER eat the silver-wrapped sugar-free chocolate bars they sell at Disneyland unless you need to be cleaned out for surgery the next day

(Helpful Hint for Zazu)

Oh, yeah, mom did take me to See's a few months before her passing, and I picked up a couple of catalogs; had to toss them while packing, though. I forgot about insulating the shipment. I must've been thinking of other places, like the Vermont General Store, that do not ship chocolates during hot weather.
See's originally sold ice cream as well as chocolates; I think that ended during WWII. And I think they dropped the "Mrs." when she passed, probably in the 30s. They have the history on the site; check it.
If you want to see a couple other food related sites, check out the one for Cream of Wheat, as well as Uncle Ben's Rice. Interesting history on the first, lots to do on the second. Hint: At the Uncle Ben's site, mouse over the objects in the rooms; if one moves, click on it and see what happens. Don't be afraid to read Uncle Ben's correspondence on his desk in his office--it's a hoot!

O C natives & locals refer to our airport as "John Wayne." SNA abbrev. still seems odd to me.

Well, SNA is better than some abbreviations, since it's in Santa Ana. According to the
airport website, it wasn't named for John Wayne until 1979. It makes more sense than MCO at Orlando (derived from the old McCoy AFB).

Gotta love the off-topicness of SGT. This thread went from talking about Zazu having surgery to chocolate to airport abbreviations.
