Their attitudes *really* annoyed me. They kept going on about how they didn't care that they stole from a little kid, but that they were caught. No remorse whatsoever.

You go hobie! Maybe, just maybe, that will teach em.... Those two ignoramusi have to be the biggest waste of human tissue on the planet.
They are mad cause the cops took the money back and they got charged with a crime. They think because they got charged with the crime they should get to keep the $$$$ from it??

WOW. I don't get it. Where did they learn this?
It is this sort of thing that makes me want to stay indoors and never go outside again. Except to Disney of course....hehehe

They thought they scored by snatching a couple of hundred from a little girl. Wait until their lawyer's start sending them their bills. That's when they'll start seeing some large whip out. Too bad it's going out instead of coming in.

What got me is that they said she doesn't need it and now is getting lots of money from strangers. Um...Hello! None of that money goes to the girls. I used to be a Girl Scout, With cookie sales I think we could earn prizes, but no actual money. Furthermore, you are responsible for the money for each box, so her family could have had to come up with that $150 for the boxes that were sold. Thank God there are decent people who want to help out.
Personally, I want to see their cell phones taken away since they wanted the money to buy new ones. Let's see how they survive without any cell phone, much less a new one.

We tried that once, and Australia was the result. Nice folks there now.
Can't decide if it's the good news or the bad news, but attitude (or criminality) doesn't breed true.

Actually it varies by troop, Yes the girls can earn prizes through the cookie program itself but the cookies are actually sold as a fundraiser for troop and council and national activities. The girls individually do not earn money but a portion of the sales do go to the troop. If the girls (or leaders, depending on age level and amount of troop members) choose that the girls recieve the money (in a fair split of all earned) then they can do that, tho it is discouraged as the money is intended to be used to help the girls do activities as a group.
Years of leading GS here.. :D:
I do agree tho, very nice of ppl to step up and help.

When entering the country the Ozies still ask if you have a criminal record. If you don't mind spending a few extra minutes, the response is, "Is it still required to get in?"

Hobie, when I first read your post I was really confused. My hometown is about 30 mins away from the Lake of the Ozarks. I was thinking, 'I know most people consider the Ozarks the sticks, but they're not that backwards!' Then I realized you were referring to the Aussies lol.
