Stupid Guest Tricks

More Jungle Cruise!













And a relatively new addition to the Jungle Cruise: The Piranhas!!!!!!





We had a relatively good group of people on the tour, so I didn't have to throw anyone off into a Piranha feeding frenzy! ;)

And this was our Skipper:

Then it was off to the Hub and a little cool info about the Castle and forced perspective. Does anyone know what that is and how it is used in Disneyland and WDW? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? LOL!

Forced perspective is where the bottom of the castle is made with larger bricks and as it goes up the bricks get smaller and smaller to give the illusion that something is actually taller than it is. It is quite cool actually, the way it is used in Disneyland.
How many of you, besides the CMs of course, know that scents and food smells are pumped up through the vents on Main Sreet? It smells good there. When they are making candy canes, they pump peppermint smell out into the street, but more on that later. There is a whole candy cane segment to this trip! :D:





Off we went to see the Matterhorn. This picture is of Michael telling us about something, but the cool thing about this pic, is that the guy with the long hair next to Michael is from Denver too. He was visiting DL with a friend who lives about 5 miles from us. We kept running into them all over the Park over the next 3 days! It was weird, because it was so crowded, but we kept seeing them everywhere after we had taken the tour with them. We ran into George in the Emporium one morning and we saw him with his friend at the parade one afternoon when we were with The Disneymom family! Odd to keep seeing the same two people all over the Park when it was sold out crowded! George is a musician here in Denver in a band called The Creatures. I thought he was Slash at first! LOL!

Awesome pics, Susi! Your camera does much better than mine. Oh, and some of us non-CM's do know about forced perspective, pumped scents and sounds, etc. Doesn't make it any less amazing!

They ARE great pics!! Ummm just WHAT is Michael telling you about?? Seems a bit strange to be standing with his arm like that!! And the guy from the band seems Sooooo happy!!! (hehehe)

Aw, Churchy, you should go back. You would feel so young again. It has the effect of making all your troubles just melt away while you are there. Maybe you would reconsider and go back with Ralphie and I! We would have such a great time and I would love to see you with a smile on your face and watch all that tension from taking care of mom just melt away. PLEASE, PLEASE, consider going with us...And, if you won't go to DL, then you will just HAVE to meet us this next trip, ok? Deal? Someplace outside of DL! :) But I would love to ride Dumbo with you and sing the Pirates song as we travel through an adventure on POTC and go see the wild animals on the Jungle Cruise!!!! Sound like fun?

I think he was pointing out something, don't remember exactly. The picture was taken in Adventureland somewhere. Yeah, George was actually a great guy, really quiet and shy and so pleasant, despite the black shirt open to his belly! The old dress code would have never allowed that! I have to check out his band here sometime. He said it is like the old Black Sabbath, which I love! George and his friend, I think her name was Emily, had a great time. They were such nice people and funny that they live only miles from us here in the Denver area. :)
