I encountered something like that the last time I was at the local Hibachi Restaurant. This lady ordered shrimp and scallops. The chef brings out the food to cook and goes over everyones order not once, but twice, and each time she confirms thats what she orders. The way the chef prepared the food, the scallops happened to be the last thing he grilled. He goes to put them on her plate and she starts having a fit because she ordered shrimp and chicken. The chef just stood there for a few minutes just amazed that she not only ordered them, but confirmed it twice. He tried to correct it by going to get some chicken to make for her, even after he had fully cleaned the hibachi. She kept going with her fit until he fixed things on the bill.

And big surprise here, after the bill is fixed and paid, on the way out, I see her greatly enjoying her scallops with a smug look on her face. Of course, she had a little kid with her.....another kid taught how to exploit the system.

Hobie, have you ever read The Wal-mart Effect? It's a great read, and exposes how Wal-mart screws all their suppliers, big and small, and why so many manufacturers have gone to Asia.

I didn't have to. They were probably the biggest bunch of dicks we ever almost worked with. Our competition got the business. Lucky them!! :twisted:

Wally-Mart's business practices are one of the reasons we get poisonous dog food, lead tainted toys, etc. They low ball the suppliers and they use crap to squeeze out a profit.

I used to own stock in Wal-Mart. After reading that book, I sold it all. They are a very unscrupulous company. I refuse to shop there. Wal-mart controls the world.

As a land use professional I can tell you I have zero respect for Wal-hell or Home-cespot. Low prices can not lure my shopping dollars with the slime ball way they operate
