Neat, and informative

I forgot to buy the corks for invites yesterday so I have to wait till Monday. AARRGGHH! I had a heck of a time finding them to begin with. Joann's wanted almost $3 for 3 of them so I got smart and went to the wine shop. 25 cents each and each one makes 2. Pretty good deal I thot. I had picked up one a few weeks ago and experimented and found that I had to whittle the ends down a bit but was able to get 2 out of one. YaY! Plus since I have a cork from a bottle of actual wine that no longer has a scent, I can use that too..HEHEHE Only spending a buck or so for them.

Shows you how much junk you can remember after 14 years at "sea" Arrrhhh!! They used to post nautical trivia in a daily plan, some of it was silly, some interesting. The Mind you "P"s and "Q"'s story and so forth.

We did that at our command, too. Our Plan of the Day always included Navy trivia, the Chaplain's Corner (inspirational thought) and the menu for the local mess hall. Occasionally we even added a few official and unofficial announcements, but the mess hall menu was the most widely read item. :)

Is that for crossing the International Dateline? Probably not. Probably something much more nefarious. 'Fess up, Pirate.
