Stupid Guest Tricks

I think I got it. Here's an account with the Amazon Honor System, at which donations can be made to the Bubble Ladies tour. Donations put there will stay there safely until we figure out the bank account from which we will spend the money on stuff like airline tickets and the hotel room. Should have all that set up early next week.

I do ask that if you donate, please let us know who you are by clicking "Send Info." It doesn't send your credit card number or anything like that, it just sends us your name. I want to thank you properly, so please click that button (after reading the notice about what it sends and doesn't send).

If it's okay with the Mods, I'll also put this link in my signature. If it's not, then feel free to delete it from this thread. I understand this is a rather unorthodox thing, but how many boards get the wild-hare idea to send some beloved members across the country for a great time?

I will make daily reports. You'll also have verification of the status of the project, as there is a status bar telling how many have donated and how much. I picked an amount of money higher than what I expect to need so that it continues tracking. Any extra money raised will be used to get Elena and Elyse some lovely surprises.

Well, we can donate more than once if we want to give more than 50$

That's no problem. We only have a few things that we need to get done sooner than later, namely the airline tickets, and that (just for reference) is about $650 for both of them. Beyond that, I don't know when we have to have resort reservations made and all.

I also want to take a moment and thank Polar for allowing me to do this. On most boards, I would probably be suspended or banned for doing something - anything - where I was asking for money, regardless of the reason. Again, one of those things I like about having a small community here that is much easier to keep tabs on than over at Board X or W or whatever letters we have for them. Easier to keep tabs on... even with our communal ADD.

It's a good time for those of us north of the border as well (Though I'm not sure how many more there are than me lurking here!) to be making the donations. For once, 50$ US doesn't cost me 83$ Canadian!

Thanks for making it so easy to do, and for taking on the monumental task of getting something like this off the ground!

And just to note...I think it's about a 95% chance I should be able to join you all for this little shindig!

Well, I have an update after the first (roughly) 24 hours. We've already raised $150. Go SGT!
