Michael Vick was a football player who was recently arrested for running a dog fighting ring in Florida.
I think that it would be highly appropriate if the SG was punished by a dog. Or maybe we could combine your idea and mine. Instead of chasing the SG down the monorail track with a train, give him a little head start and send some pitbulls and/or dobermans after him.

Best idea I've heard yet!

Leno & Dr. Phil are discussing SOB vick. Thank God they are anti the "cultural" thing. Wish I could find their thoughts re vick OL & post. Both HATE vick & won't excuse the a$$hole. We need more to come out against vick!! Drop him Falcons! Kick vick out for life. Hope he suffers & burns. :raid:

I still say make him run the monorail beam from Epcot to the TTC. A train right behind him on the narrow beam will keep him going. How wide is the beam anyway? If I'm not mistaken it is narrow enough to make jogging it non-stop interesting.
Yes, and there are stations where people can, for a small donation to PETA or something, stand next to the track and act as a gauntlet on him as he goes by. Oh, and make sure he doesn't jump onto the service beams.

It's common knowledge in our local community that a well-known former Olympian boxer, who is also a world title holder and is in the process of making a comeback, raises chickens for cockfighting purposes. Because he is such a well-liked public figure and sings the praises of his home town at all his fights, local authorities seem to look the other way when it comes to charging him with animal cruelty or other penalties. Maybe they haven't "caught hiim in the act" yet, or maybe the guy just likes chickens and raises them as pets. Yeah, right.

It was in Virginia.
He was caught with dead dogs on his property and proof that he was the ringleader of an interstate dog fighting ring that killed dogs via torture and shooting because they were not winners.
He slowly lost all endorsements then while waiting for court appearances could not go to training camp and now is worse than a leper to the NFL.

Vick's little side line business has cost him millions in current and future endorsments. He still faces sentencing that could range from one to five years. In the end it's up to the judge who is a reported dog lover.
Bad press of this type is hard to overcome but it's amazing what some money and a good PR firm can accomplish. This may be the one time they'll fail. Vick will probably finish up what's left of his career in either the Arena or Canadian league.
One has to wonder how someone with so much talent and money could be so stupid. Then again, maybe not. We see it over and over.

In the Veterinary hospitals we see this all too often! It makes me sick. I am a devout animal lover and Veterinary Technician, so anything that harms these creatures makes my blood boil. I also worked as an adoption counselor at a local shelter and I was very selective about who got to take home a pet and who did not. You can tell a lot about people when they spend an hour with an animal on the grounds walking it and playing and how they interact with their kids. I NEVER sent a pet home with a questionable family. NOT ON MY WATCH! I wanted to make sure these lovely creatures would get the love and care they deserved and more!
There should be felony charges for animal abuse. Some states are finally passing laws to prosecute animal abuse as a felony, in some states it is still a misdemeanor and the perp gets off with a slap on the wrist and a small fine. I am an advocate for having animal care be part of the elementary school curriculum. Every class should have small animals, such as rabbits, rats, or other small mammals and every child should learn about caring for them and NOT harming them. We had that when I was in elementary school back in the 1960's and I ended up with more small pets than my parents wanted me to bring home! LOL! (I had a rat named Richard, born in my 6th grade classroom, who lived 4 yrs!)
There should be education in spay and neuter as well. If there were more emphasis on the spay/neuter factor, there would be less of a problem with over population and animals being put down needlessly! It MUST start at an early age or it is too late. Look at the Michael Vick story. Somehow, somewhere, these people learned it was okay to do this to dogs. Look at all cases of animal torture by children. Who is teaching them that it is okay to do this to animals? Why would they think it is okay behavior? Where do they learn such despicable behavior. It comes from NO education about animals as sentient and feeling creatures who need care and love. I believe if you start at a young age, then these children can have a chance to learn humane treatment of other living creatures we share this planet with. Man is the cruelest of all animals, it seems... :(

The problem is that these people have more money than sense. One can be quite talented at something but still have less sense than a rock.

Vick has little chance in any organize sport. Not for the dog fighting but because he gambled. What is to stop him from rigging games or gambling on his team.
He will become a jailhouse christian and mend his ways while atoning for his sins. Everyone will see him as a faker and will take the donations but know inside he is a dog killer. In time maybe the NFL will take him back. It will take strong people screaming and bitching about him to make sure he stays unemployed.

He didn't wait. He found God before entering his plea. Another phoney. Maybe he'll get some cool face tats while he's in the slam.
