No, MAW badges have the logo on them, give kids the world have the child's name and where they are from on them. HMMM, a new level of fraud? Sad...

That's for a quick round of golf?

The original GOH badges said VIP on them. I still have a couple of them around somewhere. And if I remember correctly, for a short time they came in a choice of colors. I think they came out in the early to mid 90s.

For a time as a promotion for the Virtual Magic Kingdom online game, if you completed all the Quests (scavenger hunts) available you were eligible for a special guided VIP tour which took you around the park and on several rides. I did this at both WDW/MK and DLR/DL, and we went on several rides through the exit line, including the Jungle Cruise where we had a boat to ourselves and the skipper kept silent so we could hear a lot of tricia and backstory from our guide. We wore green rectangular badges that said VIP on them along with our name either handwritten or printed on a sticker. Perhaps this is what you saw.

That possibly sounds more like it, but as I recall the girls had large white round buttons that said VIP and their name on a sticker on top of that. it sounds like you might get special priviledges if you win something. This is the only time I've seen this, so probably doesn't happen much.

But wouldn't the CM's KNOW if certain badges were to be afforded special privileges?

Yeah, I've never heard of either of those, usually they tell us what each one means...

Yes, just was wondering as never had seen it before or since. The CM's didn't question anything, and I was just glad we got on next. I do have a GOH badge now which I am proud of as I like to think of myself as an guest WITH Honor who would never be a SG! I bought a Tinkerbell one for my friend at work, and everyone thinks they look great! Yes, I wear it to work, I'm surprised and pleased nobody objects!

We have to wear security badges with access cards, I have several that I wear on my (YES, DISNEY) lanyard. Each card is for a different location. I also have my "Star COMMAND" clearence card from the Magic Kindom on there! (I'm Staff!!) no one really noticed until we were at a meeting and an out of town speaker noticed it!!

Yeah, and then there are company badges
White-Temporary/CP
Red-Seasonal
Yellow-PT/FT
Green-Operating Participant
Blue-Salaried Manager
Blue w/ Gold Stripe-Executive

I saw my first executive on New Year's, I knew that was a bad sign!
