This thread reminds me of how my cousin wore heelies to my confirmation 5 years ago (she was a church server and wore them under her robe).

which, in turn, reminds me of the time i went to NYC to see the nutcracker and the angels that opened act 2 (candyland and whatnot) wore roller skates under their gowns to look like they were gliding.
(sorry for the offtopicness)

Just got back from IOA and the Heeleys were out in force. I was just about to clothesline a kid who was heading straight at me when Dad yelled to him and he veered away at the last minute. I think Dad saw my arm coming up and the vicious gleam of anticipation in my eye and figured he'd better warn Junior.

Now I have A QUESTION for this... If she fell and busted her ass during the service in the middle of the church, knocked over a candle and lit something on fire, would it be ok to laugh at her for being a moron and wearing heelies?

HOLY SHIT!!!! You all know I'm trying (in vain) to get these F-IN things banned from the store. I'm watching the front door this morning when one of the EMPLOYEES comes rolling in on a pair. I told him flat out "You crash and burn on those things ,you WILL be written up,AND you WILL do a drop (drug test)". I couldn't fucking beleive it.

Yes, especially if it was her hair and/or clothing.

The question is who would she sue ???,The candle makers, the church. No it would be the dress maker,no the people who advertised the dress. Wait, the dress designer is the one responsible. No,No It's CNN. They didn't tell us SOON enough.

Haha, i'm glad the story of my cousin made you all laugh. No she did not trip during the service, but everyone in the family was asking why she wore those things. She even wore them when she sang during the Christmas Eve mass a few months earlier (She was only 12 at the time).

Frankly, I saw the darn things a lot myself when I was a CP. I never stopped the kids from wearing them, but from reading everyone's opinions about them, I guess I should have.

And to kickman77, yes it would be ok to laugh at her.
