I've come to the conclusion that they're the rudest people on the planet... or at the very least, the rudest people in the OC... and some of the dumbest too. I get asked "What kind of pizza do you have?" a lot (I work at Pizza Hut for those of you who don't know), and many of them fail to grasp the concept of selecting your own toppings rather than choosing from the pictured pizzas on the menu.

Stupidity:
> Give me whatever's good...
< Well... what do you like?
> I dunno... just give me whatever's good...
< umm... That depends on the person... some people like green pepper, some people don't...
> Just give me whatever...
< Ok then... [keys in onions and anchovies]

Rudeness:
[I'm quite clearly occupied with another guest]
Guest 2> I want two large pizzas...
Me> I'm sorry, but you have to wait your turn. I'm working with him/her right now...

You can find more such tales at http://www.tipthepizzaguy.com/discussion but I think a lot of them just whine about not getting tipped and blame everything on the "evil corporate empires" rather than taking responsibiltiy themselves. You guys are a lot cooler, and aren't as quick to blame everything on Disney/Universal/etc... :)

She was crying that she to the DPS Officer she was 'only' doing 78.He told her "Madam the speed limit is'75'".BUT I was only doing 78.(dps officer) "lady the speed limit is 75.Here's your ticket.I asked her what the speed limit was? She said "75".I said "well there you go".Dumb broad gave me a dirty look(bitch).

Many states have a "grace number" because of the inaccuracies of cars' speedometers, tire pressure, tire size, etc. I'm not defending her, but 1-5 mph, is, IMO, a fair "grace number."

That being said, if the speed limit is 75, then why take a chance at 76, 77, 78, 79, or 80?

But the frustration is because of the lack of consistancy. If you drive the same stretch of road where the speed limit is 75 mph at 78 mph every day, How many days do you think you would get pulled over? If it was every day, then most people would be okay with it. But if highway patrol pulls people over for 78 one day, 82 the next, 76 another day, it gets frustrating.

Off topic, i know, but in the defense of my CHP officer husband, they can't be everywhere all the time..They are constantly busy down here in the LA and OC areas, going from call to call and tickets are done in the "down time," if there is any ..But it doesn't matter if the speed limit was raised to 100..there are always people who would still be going 101..102..103...and on and on..

I read a Reader's Digest submission once years ago in which the guy said he was pulled over and given a ticket. He then asked the officer, "I'm curious. Out of all the people clearly speeding on the road, what about my car made you pull me over for a ticket?"

The officer asked, "do you ever go fishing?"

"Yes."

"Do you ever catch every fish in the lake?"

If you noticed she "admitted" to speeding. I do agree with the lack of consistancy though. Hell years ago we're driving from San Diego to Anahem, I'm 'pacing' traffic.Speed limit is 55mph  I'm doing 80 and still getting passed. When traffic thinned out i backed off to 70.

I once drove from Phoenix, AZ to San Dimas, CA in less than four hours, including a stop for gas and ice cream.

We were not obeying any speed limits...
