Official SGT ADD thread

A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.
Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.

Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Now that's just cruel. Although initially I though the guy squirted a tube of wasabi at her. Kind of weird to do it indirectly via a pants slap.

They are working on refurbishing the Test Track ride, so it isn't a total loss. ;)

That's only because GM demanded it or would have pulled out of the sponsorship completely, at least from what I heard.

Well, after a trip to Milepost 38 yesterday, the Cuddlebug has decided that she wants to get into Model Railroading with me. We've agreed on N Scale, since I already am working in it and we can share traction and stock. So, after a day of work in XTrack CAD, I came up with this:

Image

This will be a 8' by 4' table layout, although with room to expand into an additional modular table and possibly shelf extensions. It has a double main line oval, with a mountain spur line (the dog bone section in the center,) and a small locomotive support yard. It's set in the mid 1950s, just before the final phasing out of steam, and she's "Santa Fe all the way," just like me, so this'll give us an excuse to use my full consist Super Chief. There will be two passenger stations, one along the top edge of the main line, near the yard, and a small platform in the lower right corner area (which will be a small town, assumed to be somewhere along Route 66.) The mountain spur line is tentatively to be raised to an elevation of two inches over the baseboard.

Very nice, CBeilby! I keep trying to get back into model railroading, but of the three things needed, I can never seem to get more than 2 -- time, space and money.
