Will someone have a BIG parade and such for us when we're in our 80s?

LOL that's because not a single one of us has her budget!

...then again knowing the crew around here we'd just buy out Disney for a night and rob a liquor store to supply more fun for said Disney buy-out ;)

Agreed! We could just rent it out for a night like Liz Taylor used to! (better start saving now!) :p:

:D:

The one time I fell down a full flight of stairs (I regularly fell up :rolleyes :) , I had walked through a bit of water in brand new shoes, then took one stop at the top of a waxed tiled staircase. I've often wondered how models manage to walk so well in brand new shoes on such shiny surfaces!

It's bound to be hard when one is wearing such high heels with no traction on what looks like slick surfaces. Combine that with the way models walk and the raised runway they are on it is a disaster waiting to happen.

Actually, spike heels grip better than flats, in my experience. Or maybe I just got the right brand when I got spikes, because my wedding shoes the part under the ball of my foot was kind of slick. Never slid around in them, though. They were much more of a challenge to walk in when the photographer decided we needed to walk across this wet lawn for a picture -- the heels kept sinking in!

Oh man, Been there and Did that!
I went with "Prom Mentality" at my wedding. Pictures over? DITCH THE SHOES! I ran around in neon purple fuzzy slippers under my wedding dress right after the "First Dances" part was over.

Screw heels. It's my wedding, I can do what I want! ;)
